HON. IRENE P.

BENCITO

COMMITTEE ON HUMAN RIGHTS

The long stretch of years rendering service to the people have

imprinted a hallmark in my entire career as public servant. These were

painted with hundreds of public policies introduced, authored, and sponsored

to make an indicative movement for continual change and pave progressive

steps to shape a sound and quality legislative landscape for the Province of

Cavite. Under a parliamentary structure of legislation and governance, my

direction remains steadfast to dedicate a solid and noteworthy curve on

prosody on local legislature that tailored-fit varied sectors in realm of selfless

service to the people.

Nevertheless, the committee which I currently handle centers on

human rights. These are the rights inherent to all human beings, regardless of

race, sex, nationality, ethnicity, language, religion, or any other social status.

Moreover, the amount and significance of awareness sets standards that

recognize and protect the dignity of all human beings.

The big chunk of my legislative particularity can be found at the bosom

of human rights for women, children, and family. We have a long way to go

and a battle to win against violence and stand against gender discrimination,

human trafficking, and all other human-related concerns. Undeniably, the

indigent needs for human rights is hugely at its expanse. To this reason, we

are called upon to put all our act together and bring all our strength and hearts

to serve as shield in the advent of humanity.
