-:BJT SWITCH:-

AIM:- Bipolar junction transistors (BJTs) are used both as switches

and amplifiers. This lab exercise illustrates both types of operation
using the same basic circuit under different conditions.

SIMULATOR USED:- Multisim online simulator.

APPARATUS:- 1.Desktop (or) laptop
2.multisim online simulator.
CIRCUIT DIAGRAMS:-

FIG:-1 FIG:-2

PROCEDURE:-
1) Connect the wires as shown in the figure.
2) Switch the input voltage to 0V using the switch at the base
transistor.Observe the state of the LED.

3) Measure and record the base current Ib. collector current  Ic and
the collector emitter voltage Vce.

4) Switch the input voltage to 5V using the switch at the base of the
transistor. Observe the state of the LED.

5) Verfy that the BJt is saturated using the equation Ib>Ic/ βmin.

6) Simulate the this experiment on multisim to verify your

results.
