Hon’ble Supreme court in order dated 03.04.2020 in Suo Motu Writ Petition (Civil) No. 4 of 2020
has issued detailed guidelines listing number of actionable points to be followed by various duty
holders such as Juvenile Justice Boards, district Child Welfare Committees, managers of Child
Care Institutions (CCIs) etc.
In order to put into effect control measures on prevention and remedy, the Department of
Women and Child Development, Government of NCT of Delhi has been issuing from time to
time guidelines for the CCIs, copies of which are available on the department’s website at the
http://www.wcddel.in/. Further, district level committees have been constituted to check on
compliance of guidelines.
The Juvenile Justice Committee constituted of the Hon’ble Judges of Delhi High Court have also
reviewed in detail the implementation of the said orders of the Apex Court in meeting conducted
through video conferencing on 07th April 2020 and 13th April 2020 with all duty holders.
In order to address any issues related to Covid 19 in management of CCIs, a central Covid 19
cell has been set up at the headquarters of this department. This cell can be approached either
by email at the icps.cpudel@gmail.com or over phone to Ms. Namrata Biruly, Asst. Director
