STATEMENT FOR WHAT REALLY HAPPENED

It was Thursday 26th April, when I went to Mr. Migadde to give me a leave from school because of a
pressing financial issue, I had debts in the canteen and had no neat uniform, but since its end of month
I believed my mum would help me with some cash received from the World Food Program and since
I lived in Bugema, it was better if I went. He promised to give me the next day since he never wanted
me to miss the school day.
I patiently waited as a good student, Friday came and he told me different story that he needs some
kind of prove that I registered for EMIS from the academic’s assistant, I was so adept and didn’t know
what to do. Anyway, I went to ask Mr. Ibanda for a leave with Keak but he told me the same thing. I
nonchalantly went to Madam Beatrice and I asked her for the prove, she harshly sent me away saying
she has no time for that! I went to Mr. Chris and asked for the prove, he gave me a paper to check my
name, I checked and found that I was missing one thing which I swiftly filled in. I therefore asked him
for a chit to prove that I am registered but he had no idea, then out of nowhere, Md Vanessa spoked
rudely to me and told me to get away from the IT room! I was hurt and left. At this point many people
were going home even my close friends but I was just there.
At this point I only had pain in my heart and tears in my eyes, I didn’t know what to do. I just gave
up on my plans of going home, I was now prepared to suffer the next 6days. It was in the afternoon
when I went to watch basketball that I met my sister Nyayul Charles, I was surprised that she didn’t
go home, Mr. Byafaki had given her a form B, after a short chat, she told me that her plans were
cancelled so an idea came to my head, “An opportunity comes once.” I thought. And since I wanted
to go home so badly, I was muddled that I, without hesitation took the Form B from her and dressed
up and immediately went to the gate, to my surprise, the askari allowed me to go, so happily I left. I
greatly apologize to all parties involved; it was my own sinful intention!
