Good morning your honor, today we are here because a man that is grieving over his recently

deceased mother is accused of murdering his Landlord. Today Thurgood Marshall & Associates
will be honoring our founder Thurgood Marshall by making sure no injustice is done here today.
We will be calling 4 witnesses to the stand to show our case: Jamie Cobey the defendant, Francis
Yazzie a friend and neighbor of Jamie, Dani Emling who was a tenant of the late Erik Smith, and
finally Dr. Tyler Clay who is a licensed and certified herpetologist. Our case today will show that
Jamie Cobey could never hurt an animal, Jamie was always known as a calm collected person
with a kind, gentle soul who wouldn’t cause harm to another person even if angered. We will
also show that it is not only dangerous to put a snake into a mailbox but practically impossible.
We will show Jamie Cobey could never have committed such a crime and this was no more than
an unfortunate accident that resulted in the death of Erik Smith.
