The painting shows Filipinos' bloody battles, sacrifices, and struggles during the

Spanish colonial period. It explains the bravery and eagerness for freedom that we
already aimed for, after a very long decade in the hands of foreign people. The reason
why nowadays Filipinos are very vocal and always fight for what is right. Especially
the youth that doing the rally to fight for justice or human rights, so they would be
heard and spread of what is happening in our society. Moreover, From what I’ve
observed in the color, it’s so lively and optimistic and I believed it served as hope.
Because even though we Filipinos are suffering or struggling, we still keep on smiling
and hoping that there is still a better life that awaits us. I can also see two women who
are helping the injured man. And as a youth, the painting enlightened and encouraged
me to do of what is right and always be kind to help others especially if they are really
in need.
