Fire Damage Assessment

Results

Notes
The calculated MAWP based on the fire damaged material properties, corroded thickness, and specified temperature
exceeds the specified pressure.

Acceptance Criteria
Maximum Allowable Working Pressure (MAWP) 695.1 psi
MDMT Based on MAWP -3.0 °F
Retirement Thickness 0.3634 in

Estimated Fire Damaged Properties

Code Room Temperature Allowable 17100.0 psi
Code Design Temperature Allowable 17100.0 psi
Estimated Fire Damaged Tensile Stress 80000.0 psi
Final Allowable Stress 17100.0 psi

Applicability and Limitations

* The equipment being evaluated must be constructed to a recognized code or standard.

* The maximum operating temperature of the component does not exceed 650.00 (F).

* The component material must have sufficient toughness. If there is uncertainty regarding the material toughness, then a
brittle fracture assessment should be performed.

* The Part 11 Fire Damage assessment is only valid for components that may have experienced a reduction in material
tensile stress due to elevated temperature. Evaluations for other types of damage such as distortion, cracking, metal loss,
or creep may be evaluated per the appropriate Part in API 579.
