DIFFUSION

1) What is Diffusion?
Diffusion is defined as the net movement of molecules from an area of
greater concentration to an area of lesser concentration.

2) Why do the plants need carbon dioxide?

Plants need carbon dioxide for photosynthesis.

3) What is the waste product of photosynthesis?

Oxygen !

#Note
- the higher temperature, the More Kinetic energy
- the more kinetic energy, the faster they move
- In diffusion, membrane is not required!

OSMOSIS

1) What is osmosis?
Osmosis is the net movement of water across a semipermeable membrane.

2) What is water molecule made of?

Water molecule is made up of two hydrogen (H) atoms and one oxygen (O)
atom.

#Notes
- Water can make up around 80% of some organisms
- In Osmosis, membrane is required (partially permeable membrane)
- Sugar molecule is many times larger than water molecule
