Topic: How to be a good driver

At the time of being at the wheel, it is necessary to be concentrated and not try to perform other people's activities that can make you lose control, a clear example is how daily cases of accidents are
seen by people who are looking at the cell phone.
In addition to being concentrated, it is necessary to know the traffic signals. It is important to respect speed limits, traffic lights, legal crossings, the direction of the streets, the recommended intensity of
lights and be aware of objects on the road to avoid accidents, do not carry loud sounds inside the car to hear around and do not carry lights inside the car so as not to cloud the vision of the road.

Look at the picture. Answer the questions.

Picture response questions

1. Look at the car accident. What was the driver of the SUV doing? What was the driver of the convertible doing? What happened?

The driver of the SUV was talking on the phone and the driver of the convertible was distracted listening to music and did not turn on his turn signal, so when turning the driver of the
SUV he did not break in time and they crash.

2. Look at the couple in front of the salon. What salon service do you think she will ask for? What salon service do you think he will ask for?

I think she asks for a manicure and pedicure or because she looks at her nails. The man will ask for sure to shave his beard because he touches his beard before entering.

3. Look at the two people at the gas station. Create a conversation for them.

A, Good morning sir, how can I help you?

B. Good morning, could you fill the tank?

How much would it cost?

A. Of course, yes, in total it would be 85 dollars. Will you pay with cash or card?

B. I will pay by card. Thank you so much

A. To serve you, have a nice day.

4. Look at the billboard of new DVD releases. Which movie would you rather see—Night of Fright or Onward, Soldier? Why?

I would choose onward, soldier, because I'm not a big fan of horror movies, I think I'd like to see a drama movie more in that sense.

Personal questions

5. Pretend I’m a visitor to your country. Tell me about the customs here. Talk about greetings, exchanging business cards, addressing people, and / or small talk.

Here in Cartagena, people are very funny and cheerful, although sometimes they can be quite annoying. Normally in Cartagena, as everyone knows each other, they greet each other with
a handshake or a hug. Work cards are rarely exchanged, only seen on special occasions, such as conferences. Out of respect, older people are addressed as Mr. or Mrs., and young
people too or are simply called: Jovenes or Muchachos. For small talk, they mainly talk about soccer or the heat in the city or, failing that, the traffic jams and the transcaribe service.
Cartagena is simply unique.
