New Weekend Mass Schedule (Effective 7-1-23) Page 1
Greetings! Vune I will not o飾cially begin my new role u血dl J山y l, 2023, I wanted to take this oppo同山nity to
COmmunicate some very important infomation about血e Mass schedule for血e en血e pastorate which will
begin on山Iy lst. The Confession and Adoration schedule wi11 be priuted in the bulletin before July l.
You wi11 notice血at for some churches in our pastorate血ere are some significant changes to血e Mass schedule
familiar to you. These changes were not made lightly, and they have been discussed wi血Bishop Hying,
The Sacraments are privileged encounters with the Risen Lerd Jesus and也rough them He confers His gra∞
and divine life. Sadly, OVer血e past nu血iber of decades fewer and fewer people have been seeking Baptism,
Celebrating Confimation and Holy Matrimony, gOing to Confession, and attending Mass. As such, We have
fewer pcople who are fully alive in C血ist.
AIso, Parishes need to cooperate with one ano血er for血e benefit ofall. Gone are the days when we can simply
be parochial, looking o血y at the needs ofour own people. Close proximity of churches in our pastorate, in
SurrOunding parishes and dio∞SeS (these are listed on the back of this insert) provides many options for
altemate Mass times if needed. The revised weekend Mass schedule will a11ow for priest coverage within our
OWn PaStOrate eVen ifone ofthe priests is ill, On retreat, Or time away with family. O節ertory envelopes can be
daposited to the collection basket of the neighboring parish and wi11 be counted toward your registered parish.
Let us continue to pray for each o血er in this time oftrausition.
