    Sparsh Hospital conducted a CT scan of the pelvis and hips for 74-year-old Saraswathi N who fell and was unable to bear weight on her right side. The scan found an osteoporotic fracture of the right inferior pubic ramus and degenerative sacroilitis in the bilateral SI joints. The hip joints, femoral heads, acetabula, femoral necks, and greater trochanters appeared normal in density, structure, and alignment with no evidence of erosions or sclerosis. The urinary bladder and peritoneum also appeared normal.

    CLINICAL DETAILS: fall, not able to bear weight on right side.

    FINDINGSAND IMPRESSION:
    .Osteoporotic changes in visualised bone.
    Undisplaced fracture of right inferior pubic ramus.
    Subchondral lucencies seen in bilateral SI joints - suggestive of sacroilitis
    - Iikely degenerative.

    .Bilateral hip joint spaces are maintained. No evidence of erosions or


    sclerosis.
    The femoral head & acetabulum appear normal in density, architecture &
    alignment. The neck & greater trochanter of femur appear normal.
    The urinary bladder showsasmooth contour. No intravesical mass or
    calculus is seen.
    There is no free or loculated peritoneal fluid collection.
