NOTICE TO COMPETITORS #1

Due to weather conditions on 13 and 14 May 2023, and in accordance with Notice of Race 7.4, the BMW Spring
Regatta 2023 has been rescheduled to Sunday 21 May 2023.

The Notice of Race (NoR) is amended as follows:

1. Delete NoR 4.3 and 4.4 replace with:
4.3 Eligible boats not already entered may enter by submitting an online entry form at
www.rhkyc.org.hk/sailing/races-and-regattas/local-racing/springregatta before 1800hrs on Friday 19 May
2023. All boats shall sign on at www.rhkyc.org.hk/sailing/races-and-regattas/local-racing/springregatta at
least 15 minutes before the warning signal of their first race on Sunday 21 May 2023. Any boats failing to
complete the sign-on procedure will be scored as Did Not Start without a hearing. This changes RRS A5.1
& A5.2.
4.4 Big Boat divisional splits will be posted by 1830hrs on Friday 19 May 2023.
2. Delete NoR 8 and replace with:
8. MEASUREMENT
Big Boats racing under HKPN shall submit a completed online HKPN PIPS declaration form before
1800hrs on Friday 19 May 2023. Boats which have already submitted their HKPN PIPS declaration form
for the event do not need to resubmit them.

The Sailing Instructions (SIs) are amended as follows:

1. Delete SI 5 and replace with:
5. SCHEDULE OF RACES & CLASS/DIVISION FLAGS
5.1 The event will comprise two races on Sunday 21 May 2023.
5.2 The scheduled time of the first warning signal for Race 1 is 1055hrs. Race 2 will start as signalled and will
be held as soon as possible after the completion of Race 1.
5.3 To alert boats that a race or sequence of races will begin soon, the orange starting line flag will be
displayed with one sound at least five minutes before a warning signal is made.
5.4 Class flags and the starting sequence for Race 1 will be:
