Yogi Doll

Please do not copy the full or any part of the pattern to resell.
You may sell your finished yogi dolls in a small quantity.

This pattern is worked in amigurumi style in a spiral. The

doll is crochet all in one piece. We make the arms first and
put aside. Then starting from the legs up crochet all the way
to the top of the head. This doll is great if you don’t enjoy
sewing on parts.

This pattern is designed to make ornamental dolls. It is not
intended for a toy for small children especially under the
age of three. If you are wanting to make it for a younger
child, I suggest using embroidery eyes and not using the
wire inside.

Bobble stitch (puff stitch): (yarn over insert into stitch, yarn
over, pull up the loop, yarn over and pull through two),
repeat this three more times till you have 5 loops on the
hook, yarn over and pull through all 5 loops.

Things you will need :

All the yarn I use is ARAN weight yarn.

• Skin coloured yarn. I use Barnet satin in camel.

• Legging colour.

• Top colour.

• Hair colour.

• Wire. I use a galvanised steal wire.

• Toy stuffing

• Yarn needle.

• Yarn hook relative size to your yarn. (I always use a
smaller hook then the yarn states. so for my aran yarn a use
a 3.00 mm hook

• Cat brush

HAIR
The hair of the dolls is made by looping hair through. after
we have all the strands we want then I brush out my yarn
with a metal cat brush so it looks more like real hair.

15

Continue around the head to make the hair line and then fill
in to desired thickness. I then like to take a cat brush and
brush out the yarn to make it soft and look like real hair.

If you want it to be smoother and not stick out as much you

can run your hair straighteners though the brushed yarn.
