Descriptive Adjectives
I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson the students should be able to:
recall nouns, pronouns and adjectives
define descriptive adjectives
give examples of descriptive adjectives
correctly identify adjectives
use descriptive adjectives in a sentence
create or select vivid adjectives to enhance their writing
infer that a kind-hearted man always receives a reward it may not always money,
it may be admiration, respect and love from others

Today, we will be discussing adjectives and its first kind.
Adjectives are words that describe a noun or pronoun. They tell how things look, feel,
taste, smell and sound.
Kind of Adjectives:
1. Descriptive adjectives- Descriptive adjectives are the most commonly used type
of adjective that add meaning to a noun or pronoun by describing its qualities.

V. Application
The students will be grouped into 4, they will be given different pictures and their task is to describe the picture in
5 sentences. After 10 minutes, they will share their description in front of the class and ask the other groups to
guess what or where their picture is. If they succeed, they will be given plus points because it means that they were
able to describe the picture well. The teacher will monitor the process strictly.
