Display Qualities
 Resolution
 Response time
 Brightness
 Dot pitch
 Contrast ratio

1. Resolution Characteristics:
The term display resolution is usually used to mean
pixel dimensions, the maximum number of pixels in each dimension (e.g.
1920*1080), which does not tell anything about the pixel density of the display on
which the image is actually formed: resolution properly refers to the pixel density,
the numbers of pixel per…

2. Response time Characteristics:

Usually, this is measured in terms of going from
black to white to black again, in term of milliseconds. A typical LCD response
time is under ten milliseconds (10ms), with some being as fast as one millisecond.
3. Brightness Characteristics:
Brightness of a display is controlled by the LED
light source (or CCFL if it’s an old device) that’s at the back of the display….
Brightness has no effect on performance. Brightness does not need any
processing power. It needs more power (voltage * Current) from battery and hence
drains the battery faster.
This is a measurement of the amount of light the
LCD monitor produces. It is given in nits or one candelas per square meter
(cd/m2). One nit is equal to one cd/m2. Typical brightness rating range from 250
to 350 cd/m2 for monitors that perform general-purpose tasks.

4. Dot pitch Characteristics:

Dot pitch (sometimes called line pitch, stripe pitch,
or phosphor pitch) is a specification for a computer display, computer printer,
image, scanner, or other pixel-based device that describes the distance, for
example, between dots (sub-pixels) on a display screen.
Dot pitch, or “pixel pitch” is a measurement that
defines the sharpness of a display. It measures the distance between the dots used
to display the image on the screen. This distance is very small and is typically
measured in fractions of millimeters. The smaller the dot pitch, the sharper the
picture.

5. Contrast ratio Characteristics:

The contrast ratio (CR) is a property of a display
system, defined as the ratio of the luminance of the brightness shade (white)
to that of the darkest shade (black) that the system is capable of producing…
A high contrast ratio is a desired aspects of any display.
