To prevent misalignment of the tabwasher by providing a self-centering

feature thus reducing the possibility of the gear loosening.

Rework the spur gear and install a new key washer.

Approximately 0.5 man-hour is required to accomplish this service

bulletin.

'Accomplishment Instructions

At overhaul modify No. 6 Bearing Scavenge Oil Pump Assembly, Part

ii. 481353 or 469049 , in accordance with following:

(1) Rework Spur Gear, Part No. 439039, as follows:

a.. Drill an additional 0.183-0.193 inch diameter tablock hole

as shown in Figure 1.

b. Reidentify reworked Spur Gear, Part No. 439039, as Part No.

494249.

(2) At aeoembly, replace Key Washer, Part No. 439040, with new Key
Washer, Part No. 494255.

(3) Reidentify modified No. 6 Bearing Scavenge Oil Pump Assembly,

Part No. 481353, as Part No. 494755. No reidentification is provided
for modified Pump Assembly, Part No. 499049.
