GLOBAL WARMING

This is certainly an exciting time in our history. We have never been so successful in understanding the
mechanisms of nature and, quite positively, reflecting on the consequences of the same achievements as now.
Unfortunately, throughout these times, we also have contributed to the degradation of our environment. The
cause is not lost however, for the most recent times, we also have problem that we have created and are now
beginning to repair, or preserve that which have disturbed. As I reflect on this word I look back on the industrial
revolution, that great time in our history which began the process toward modernization. Unfortunately, with
that march to develop has come a greater rate of the accumulate of greenhouse gases. Given enough time
happened. Below, I offer an overview of the difference between the accumulate of greenhouse gases and global
warming. There is a distinct difference between the two events, and the occurrence of the former would not
necessarily procedure the latter. This short discourse will reflect on the consequences now about it. Rising sea
levels that threaten coastal cities and islands, killer storms that cause billion in damage, massive crop failures
that threaten hunger and drive up global food prices, extinction of species and the destruction of coral reefs;
these are just a few of the harsh consequences of runway global warming. These threats are painted starkly in
the movie, before the food as well as in bill McKibben’s articles “Global Warming’s Terrifying New Math” and
“How Close to Catastrophe”. Both a warming that we may be too close to the precipice to reserve our course
and a call to action to keep trying, these films brought me out of my comfort zone and forced me to confront the
realities of our current. Global warming has a number of impacts on people, oceans, temperature and ecosystem.
There are more floods as well as droughts and his therefore puts many people at risk. The droughts result from
the rise of temperature as no plants are able to do well in kinds of temperatures and climate. Includes both
global warming driven by human-included emissions of greenhouse gases and the resulting large-scale shifts in
weather patterns. It’s important we understand how the climate is changing, so that we can prepare for the
future. Studying the climate help us predict how much rain the next winter might bring, or how far se levels will
rise due to warmer sea temperatures. It makes one wonder though how many of these canvass-toting individuals
how many years does our planet has left before it reaches an environmental tipping point or in what year was
hottest earth temperature recorded. Admit that I am one of those individuals who proclaimed and believed that I
am a friend of the earth. After all I try to conserve water as much as can and segregate whenever I have the
chance. But like many individuals out there, I was ignorant about the real issues concerning our environment,
that is until have seen the documentary an inconvenient truth. Directed Davis Guggenheim and featuring former
united states vice president AY Gore, the documentary zeros in on the subject of global warming and how it is
affecting and will affect the planet earth.
