FOREWORD

In the process of verifying the hermeticity of the TPO cover, we have carried out visual inspections in
the installation of the cover, we have made corrections in the installation, and applied all the existing
techniques for installing TPO, and as a final or certifying stage that the system works correctly, we
must meet an important condition, waterproof cover.

These tests are based on the North American standard ASTM D5957, "Standard Guide for Flood
Testing Horizontal Waterproofing Installations"

This is a basic roof flooding test to verify that there is no possibility of water seepage into the building,
and that the discharge of water behaves as designed in the project, according to the slopes of the
roof and that the drainage systems storm drain works. Some 30,000 liters of water will be poured with
a hose, coming from a land tanker system that will provide water for the roof tightness test.

TEST OF HERMETICITY OR WATERPROOFING OF ROOFS

The roof tightness test is a test that covers the Technical Building Code in terms of the essential
characteristics of an industrial building, and check the proper execution of this, to avoid future water
leaks.

The roof check is carried out on new construction and rehabilitation roofs. There are 2 different
techniques for performing the tightness test:

–FLOODING TECHNIQUE: Most common on flat roofs with perimeter trim and drainage inlets, this
test radically floods the entire roof structure to levels three to four times the standard density of
common rainfall, and equates to storm and cyclone rainfall.

–IRRIGATION TECHNIQUE: It is carried out by sprinkling, simulating rain, on flat roofs where
flooding is not possible and on sloping roofs, with slopes and part waters.

The tightness tests must be carried out by a quality control laboratory Registered by the Autonomous
Industrial Community, or reviewed by the constructor's QA/QC, since their performance must be
guaranteed according to the established test protocol and safely for the structure of the building.

For flood testing, some of the important considerations are:

- There must be a plugging area for the sump, a flooded surface, the existence of a reservoir
after emptying, and the discharge of water with a controlled flow.

In the case of irrigation tests, the designation of the key surfaces, the test time, and the flow rate
provided will have to be considered.

Other important considerations should be:

The visual inspection under the deck and the subsequent inspections are essential to be carried out
by a specialized technician who knows how to distinguish the humidity that comes from the test, such
as leaks or humidity of another nature, differentiating from those that do not, especially when they are
carried out re-inspections after a failed test.

The hermeticity test, in our opinion, is a highly recommended test due to the high percentage of
defects that we have detected in this type of test, and the technical responsibility that this entails if
pathologies occur in the future, since this would very negatively affect all the electrical and
technological equipment and the infrastructure of the building. For this reason, we will carry out
preliminary tests in order to continue with the installation work at Shell.

STANDARDS FOR THE TIGHTNESS TEST

The ASTM D5957 standard, "Tandard Guide for Flood Testing Horizontal Waterproofing Installations"
is a guide for performing flood or irrigation tests on horizontal surfaces with slopes less than 2.1 cm
per meter, that is, 1:48.

The ASTM D5957 standard refers to a maximum depth of water of 100 mm, this translates into an
added live load during the test of 101.34 kg for each m2 of roof. The water depths and live load
associated with roof drains would be even greater. The tightness test is adequate to identify possible
sources of leaks.

HOW TO DO THE TIGHTNESS TEST ON ROOFS

One of the elements where more damage or pathological processes occur in a building is the roof.
It is practically impossible to consider a roof waterproof with visual inspection. Small defects that
escape the naked eye can be the cause of leaks, so it is necessary to always test their
impermeability.

In the roofs, the test is carried out by means of flooding or irrigation, in the case of the flood test,
keeping the roof flooded for 24 hours and observing, after 24 hours from the end of the flood, if there
are signs of leaks under it. .

It is common for the construction company to carry out a flood test on the waterproofing fabric (TPO)
prior to drilling the drains. This test, necessary to determine the effectiveness of the waterproofing
before placing the roofing package, is not the definitive watertightness test, since after it work will be
carried out on the waterproofing sheet that could generate defects or damage due to perforation, in
addition to other actions such as the placement of drains, an especially critical point in the
waterproofing.

For this reason, the final tightness test must always be carried out on the completely finished roof,
except on landscaped roofs or with floating floors, where they would be carried out before placing
these finishing elements, but with the drains already in place. Partial tests can be carried out by
zones, but, on the other hand, it is necessary to carry out complete tests and not by panels, because
the water will easily overcome the joints between panels.

One of the most conflictive points occurs under the access doors to the roof, where sometimes the
minimum vertical delivery of the sheet is not respected, and an overflow can occur at a lower level
than expected. This is a defect of execution, not of the leak test on covers

To ensure that overfilling of the deck does not occur, the sump can be plugged with a sealed
standpipe as an overflow. It is recommended that the emptying of the cover be progressive to avoid
water hammer in the downspouts. After emptying, the environment of the vertical evacuation network
can be checked in search of possible failures in the union of the tubes that form the conduit, and
between overlapping sheets or in patches of the waterproof protective cover. “TPO”.

TIGHTNESS TEST PROCEDURE FOR IRRIGATION OF SLOPED ROOF

This method is based on irrigation, simulating rain on the roof to be tested. After a minimum of 8
hours with the surface being irrigated at a defined flow rate, it can be seen whether or not there are
leaks in it. This type of test is performed on sloping or flat roofs that are not subject to flooding, such
as the Steel Deck type or the Sandwich “TPO” type.

FACADE SEALING PROCEDURE

This method is used to check the watertightness of traditional facades or light facades, on a sample
of enclosure. It consists of irrigating a strip of facade for a certain time using an approved system and
checking the water inlets.

WINDOWS TIGHTNESS TEST PROCEDURE

This method is used to check the watertightness of windows. It consists of irrigating a window through
an approved system for a certain time and checking the water inlets. This test checks the tightness
between glass and sash, between sashes and frame, and between frame and enclosure.

These tests are carried out in all types of buildings, both industrial and domestic. The interest in
carrying out the tightness test lies in avoiding moisture problems and loss of money in future works of
adaptation or arrangement of terraces that they may have in houses, buildings, or warehouses.

In all these tightness tests it is important to have a complete view of the entire surface being tested,
and the adjacent surfaces. In particular, special attention must be paid to the meetings and joints
between construction elements.

Likewise, if the element passes the tightness test, an APTA rating will be given. However, if it does
not pass the tightness test, a rating of NOT SUITABLE will be given, accurately describing the water
entry points to be repaired.

RUNNING THE TESTS ON THE SHELL COVER

The test was carried out during 7 hours of two-stage pumping of 30,000 thousand liters of treated
drinking water, supplied by 3 land tank systems located on land and using an auxiliary 1,000-liter
container parked on the deck, from which it was supplied. hose all available water for the irrigation
test.

The test was carried out in the first place between axes 9 and 16 between A and F, this section of the
roof was completed with its installation of TPO, only one additional element is pending, recommended
by FIBERTITE, for a total waterproofing

The irrigation test managed to simulate a rainwater discharge comparable to a Cumulonimbus or

Cumulus Stratus discharge of 8 hours of rainfall.

The test began with the irrigation of water in axes 15 and 16, supplying enough water to be able to
spread it throughout the area, all the axes were covered, irrigating the cover with the hose, as well as
structures and sealing boxes of nodes of connection, water was poured abundantly and with the help
of construction personnel, a sweep and extension of the water was carried out on the roof, water was
applied to Tilt Up walls, to test the flashing, it was also applied to structures, pipes, valves and the
Schiller equipment, this in order to simulate natural rain conditions.

As a result of the test, the presence of leaks into the interior of the building was noted, on axes 10
and 12 between D and F, which were located for verification and repair.

In conclusion, these small leaks do not present any danger to the electrical equipment because they
are not located in installation areas and are already being attended and reviewed for immediate
correction.

The leaks were 2 slight, located in axis 10 D-E and 12 E'-F, the latter located on the mezzanine level,
and are associated with two flashing leaks of the structural bases that were located and repaired, still
awaiting the installation of the final waterproofing seal that the manufacturer FIBERTITE will supply
for installation by CUBINSA.

HYA therefore guarantees that all areas that store electrical and general equipment are waterproofed
and ensures that there will be no future leaks that could endanger the physical integrity of the interior
of the building or other equipment.
