COURSE TOPICS OUTLINE

This course will focus on developing your understanding, skills, and responsibility
as a modern media and information literate individual. You will also be taught the
fundamentals of computer science as a needed skill in the modern world.

Unit 3: Media and Information, and its Relationship to Man and Society: Data is
verified and processed into information differently if people serve as both media and
the audience.

I. TOPICS TO BE DISCUSSED
A. People Media
a. People as Media
i. People who are the media itself are the ones to send information
and transfer it directly to others. They do not make use of other
media.

b. People in Media
i. People who make use of media to disseminate information are
often experts or have information given to them by experts. They
require media to transfer information.

c. Characteristics of People Media

i. Tech savvy
ii. Credible
iii. Flexible
iv. Charismatic
v. Updated
vi. Articulate
