Reaction Paper on the Film

“The Avengers”

This film is directed by Joss Whedon in the year 2012. This is story by Zack Penn and
the director. It was produce by one of the popular studio named Marvel Studios. This film is
almost two and a half hours and its genre are action and adventure. This film is Loki, Thor's
evil brother, acquires access to the Tesseract's unlimited power, Nick Fury, head of
S.H.I.E.L.D., organizes a superhero recruitment drive to stop the phenomenal threat to Earth.
Iron Man, Captain America, the Hulk, Thor, the Black Widow, and Hawkeye are among Fury's
"dream team."
Honestly, this movie is awesome. The first half of the film have lots of actions. The
settings where the movie happens was very realistic. I can say that it is filmed in a big city
because there are tall buildings, many cars and people around them. The script was so
amazing because it has something to do with science. They carefully chose the words each
character should use and I can also say that they did research about it as they used some
scientific terms. The costumes used are very nice and detailed. In terms of the sound, they
used ambient noise like wind, thunder, aircraft engines and machine operating that create
something off scene that is not really there. It also used some punch sounds and gun fire
sound effects because fights are not real. They choreographed it to stimulate authenticity. It
helps to create mood. They used lots of animation and effects in this film to become realistic.
For instance, the power of Thor which is thunder, the aliens coming from outer space, the
portal where aliens appeared, and the war in the city. Moreover, the spaceships used was
pragmatic. Mostly the film is taken at low-angled shot to convey the audience that the
character is heroic or strong. Also, it used some aerial shot to show the flying objects and the
war scene. Some of the camera shot was a bit shaky to coincide those action scenes.
This film centers on the race because only the Americans have the power to save the
world. This is true because it was a Hollywood movie meaning only Americans should be the
star. For the third aspect of film studies which is film as a technology, I can say that the setting
of this film is perfect. It is a mass produce film as it was shown in big theaters around the
world.
This film is expectedly to have a high budget as it was made with a major and popular
studio participation specifically the Marvel Studios. In addition, the actors are big stars and
the way it is edited, you can say that they used a high quality of technology. Therefore, the
tickets on the cinema is quiet expensive.
I have never had more fun watching movie but I’m not saying that this is the greatest
movie of all times. I’m telling you that this film is fantastic. The genre are action and
adventure which I really felt while watching it. I really expect that, all the six heroes namely
Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow will win the fight against
Loki, the antagonist. I thought the movie was over but a short scenario will be shown where
they have another opponent. Ending of the episode was a cliffhanger.
This is very entertaining for me as the movie were always full of unexpected twists and
turns, which kept the audience pumped up and interested by creating an exuberant
atmosphere. It motivates individuals, particularly children, by encouraging them to believe
in themselves. Also, the film's message emphasizes the necessity of collaboration. It
demonstrates that no matter how good the people in a group are, they will not be able to
achieve to their full potential unless they begin to collaborate and use one another to bring
out the best in each other.
