In this case study, Mr.

Griffith, who had spent the previous 7 years living in the US, was from a
Caribbean-English background. He felt at ease speaking and writing in English at work.
Unfortunately, he was chosen to finish the Mexico project for Mr. Griffith. Without a doubt, he had
to go to a different place to finish the job. Surprisingly, despite his best efforts, Mr. Griffith was
unable to complete the trip to Mexico due to a number of challenges, including a language barrier
and a culture shock. He also struggled to handle both professionally and personally in the Latin
personality culture and was unable to interact with other employees as a result. He apparently
sought to recreate the same milieu as his English cuktut culture in Mexico, which was difficult
because the bulk of the people there have Latin personalities. Mr. Griffith ultimately failed to
undertake financial-environment projects in Mexico.

Undoubtedly, Mr. Griffith should make a genuine effort to learn and understand the local culture,
including the language, for a better understanding of their rule and regulations and to communicate
with other colleagues; hence he could have accomplished his project. Apart from it, he should have
to search for the foreign culture environment in advance only; therefore, he can manage some
barriers without wasting time. Besides, instead of finding distinctions between two cultures, he
should have to find some similarities which he may consider to improve his project in a batter way.
