Background of the study

This study was supported by the following theory:

Statement of the Problem

This study will assess the police visibility as an influencing factor

on ______________ student’s perception of safety in North Luzon

Philippines State College during the School Year 2022 – 2023.

Specifically, it will answer the following questions:

1. What is the socio-demographic profile in terms of:

a. sex; and

b. age?

2. What is awareness of the respondent in police visibility in terms

of:

a. patrolling by car;

b. patrolling on foot; and

 c. dealing towards persons disrupting public order?

3. The variable that measures police visibility to the fear of crime

in terms of:

a. feeling of safety at night in an apartment or house; and

b. feeling of safety at night outside an apartment or house

4. Is there a significant relationship between police visibility and

sense of safety as an influencing factor on student?

Rational of the study

This study is important to the following:

PNP Personnel. This will provide the PNP the opportunity to

improve the community policing by becoming a more capable, effective

and credible local police.

Students. The student who wanted to conduct a study of this

problem for them to go into depth study and in giving same technique or

ideas on how to conduct the study. This study will probably help them in

identifying problems and also for them to discover a new problem that

will lead them to their effective study.

Community. This study will be able to impart the public to feel safe

in their community. To make them understand that policing such as

their being visible publicly is not to driven fear but to make them safe

when they notice a police officer nearby.

Researchers. The researchers want to know the percentage of

students’ perceptions on safety to police visibility.

Future researcher. This research may help and serve as basis for

the future researchers.
