A REPORT PRESENTED BY THE EVANGELISM BENCH OF THE BATCH OF

REVIVAL ON THE SECOND HALF OF THEIR MANDATE TO THE EXECUTIVE
BODY OF UB PRES SINGERS TODAY MONDAY, 31st OCTOBER 2022

PRES SINGERS; SHOW THE LIGHT GOD IS GREAT

To the UB PRES Singers EXCO, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints,
that in every place call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ through music and taking the
Gospel to the ends of the world. “Grace be to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord
Jesus Christ”. We thank God always on our behalf for the Grace which is given to us by Jesus
Christ and has brought us thus far to this time of the year.

Taking over as evangelism secretaries in February 2022 has not been easy as it is the first time
we are both serving as executive members of this great choir and had little knowledge of many
affairs. Still, God has always been on our side because he called us. We take no delight in
praises but direct it all to our Master Jesus.

The year became very challenging, following the departure of our beloved president. It brought
many conflicts and problems among us as we seemed divided. We thank God because in all the
surrounding issues, He was with us and didn’t abandon us, and the devil couldn’t have his way.

So far, we have succeeded in carrying out the following;

 Spiritually, we have always encouraged choristers and we continue to encourage us all,

to always pray and intercede for the choir, for one another, our families, the church, and
our nation Cameroon on a daily basis; prayer is the key and answer to every situation.
 We drew a meditation Rota to enable choristers to actively participate in sharing the
word of God. This has been of great impact in the life of the choir.
 We also organized monthly retreats for the choir at the end of every month specifically
the last Saturday of every month and also retreats for the exco body.
 In collaboration with the music bench, we came up with the meditation of concert songs
which we covered about ¾ of our Easter concert songs.
 We have been able to continue with the intercessory group
 Under the watch of God, we had a Musical Easter Concert on the theme “THE
INCORRUPTIBLE REDEMPTION IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS” ( 1Pt 1:18-20).
To the Glory of God, it was a successful one.
 An online debate on some chosen topics.
 A marvelous outdoor concert at Pres Hostel

Nevertheless, we cannot say all have been moving on smoothly given that we have had some
challenges as individuals and as a bench.

 In the aspect of meditation and prayers on rehearsal days, most choristers have not been
showing up on the days they are to take the meditation.
 The turnout for our monthly retreats has been poor, not registering up to 40% of
choristers during retreats.
Despite all of this, we continue to testify of the love of God in the life of choristers, the Choir
and our nation.

We still have a lot to do before the end of the choirs calendar year, which include;

 Hospital evangelism, envisaged to take place on the 6th of November 2022

 Christmas Concert, slated on the 04th of December, and

 Preparation of new choristers towards dedication

We recommend that this body should take prayers seriously more than ever before and always
seeking God’s face for a better life ahead and a prosperous choir. We continue to thank you all
for the cooperation and new ideas on how to better manage the bench, especially the members
of the Intercessory group as they have been very instrumental in the affairs of this bench. We
are grateful and above all, we thank God Almighty for His Love, Grace, and Mercy.
