 Digitization
▪ Digitization is the processes of converting information into
a digital format.
Digitalization

• The process of using digitized information to make

established ways of working simpler and more
efficient is called digitalization.
• Digitalization isn’t about changing how you do
business or creating new types of businesses. It’s
about keeping on, but faster and better now that
your data is instantly accessible and not trapped in a
file cabinet somewhere in a dusty archive.

• The digital transformation is a wide transformation

process that embraces the whole organization.
• This transformation engages all process and
employees and it’s built on a different strategic
vision about how the organization itself should act
and react with a radical shift in the mindset of the
employees.

• It is the responsibility of everyone to take action in addressing the challenges of climate change.

• Digital technologies are one of the sectors that have achieved greater efficiency; achieving about
100 times more computation power from the same amount of energy per decade. However, it
remains unsustainable.

• The sector must continue to seek ways in which it can continue to support and drive innovation
while addressing the global climate emergency for a greener and fairer future.
