Excerpts from the minutes of the joint meeting of the Parent Teachers Association officers
and members elected, 4P’S Parent Leaders, Barangay Council, Gulayan sa Paaralan
Coordinator and CNHS Faculty held in Cabayaoasan National High School, Mangatarem,
Pangasinan on September 2, 2022.

Gulayan sa Paaralan Resolution No. 3, Series 2022

WHEREAS, the DepEd Memorandum No. 223- 2016; entitled, “Strengthening the
Implementation of the Gulayan Sa Paaralan Program in Public Elementary and Secondary
Schools Nationwide” will promote vegetable production and consumption among school
children;

WHEREAS, this to support the hunger mitigation initiatives of the government and to
encourage both public Elementary and Secondary Schools to ensure continuous supply of
vegetables for school feeding;

WHEREAS, this is to inculcate among the learners the appreciation of agriculture and
values of gardening as well as helping the environment in the “Clean and Green”
surroundings;
good health and nutrition, love of labor and caring for others will benefit the common good;

NOW, THEREFORE, the Parents Teachers Association, 4P’s, Barangay Council and
Cabayaoasan National High School Faculty and GPP Coordinator approved, support and
adopt the Gulayan Sa Paaralan Program.

WHEREAS, the Parents Teachers Association, 4P’s, and Cabayaoasan National High
School Faculty and GPP Coordinator are requested to establish and maintain school
gardens, vegetable and tree nurseries, tree planting, propagation of medicinal plants,
composting, school landscape aesthetic vegetable development and related livelihood
activities.

WHEREAS, the Barangay Council adopt the DepEd Memorandum No. 223- 2016; entitled,
“Strengthening the Implementation of the Gulayan Sa Paaralan Program in Public
Elementary and Secondary Schools Nationwide” for the Barangay Cabayaoasan
Mangatarem, Pangasinan.
 
RESSOLVED and SIGNED this 2nd day of September at Cabayaoasan National High
School, Mangatarem, Pangasinan

RESSOLVED FINALLY, that copy of this resolution is furnished to all concerning agencies
for their proper information and guidance.
