Rain forest
The rain forest has a lot of trees
and plants. There is a lot of rain.
Rain forests are warm all year.
Monkeys, snakes, birds, jaguars and
frogs live in the rain forest.
Desert
The desert is a dry place. In fall
and spring, deserts are warm. In
summer, deserts are very hot. In
winter, there isn’t a lot of rain.
In some deserts, there is snow in
winter. Snakes, rabbits, coyotes and
camels live in the desert.

Savanna
The savanna is a large, flat area.
There is grass and there are also
some trees. Savannas are warm all
year. In summer, there is a lot of
rain. Elephants, lions, zebras and
giraffes live in the savanna.
Tundra
The tundra is a very cold place.
In winter, it is cold and dark. In
summer, it is warm. Fall and spring
are very short in the tundra. It is
windy in the tundra. Wolves, foxes
and polar bears live in the tundra.
