Academic Integrity Pledge GCILAC May 2023
Date: ____________________________________
Academic integrity arises from a system of shared values and responsibilities. The ability of
Georgian College to achieve its mission of exceptional teaching and learning, maintain the
credibility of its credentials, and uphold the rights of honest students, depends on
communities of integrity1.
For assignments such as papers and presentations, this means demonstrating that
I can understand the ideas of others and properly credit them, and that I can
demonstrate that I can use their ideas, research, and concepts to generate my

own conclusions. initials
For evaluations such as exams and quizzes, this means adhering to instructions
about what materials I may or may not access.
