There are 18 registered girls from Kinder
level and their Twinkler Investiture was also
conducted last February 3, 2023 headed
by Miss Lysa Famarin and Miss Jewel
Fernandez.
The Star scouts from grade 1-3
pupils are composed of 156 girls
and joined the Investiture
headed by Mrs Dolores Lim
together with the other Troop
Leaders - Mrs Rodelyn
Villanueva, Mrs Lucina PIloton,
Mrs Janice Seagan, and Miss
Carla Joy Aban as their Master of
Ceremony.
There are 209 registered Girl
Scouts from grades 4-6 and
joined the Investiture on the
afternoon. It was led by GSP
School Coordinator, Mrs Arlene
Acas with the other Troop
Leaders – Mrs Dolores Cariño, Mrs
Charibell Lucero, Mrs Rechelle
Domanguera, and Miss Evelyn
Remotin as their hostess.
This year 2023, there are 12 new parents who
joined the GSP Barangay Committee and 3 new
Troop Leaders (teacher) who were also invested
during that day. They are willing to be part of the
scouting movement and wanted to support all the
GSP activities.
 GSP SCHOOL LEVEL BACKYARD CAMP 2023
THEME: “The Girl's Vision: A Sustainable World for All.”
As we have learned, scouting is a movement that aims to support young
people in their physical, mental and spiritual development, that they may play
constructive roles in the society, with a strong spotlight on the outdoors and
survival skills. And so in line with this concrete logic, Kasarinlan Elementary
School organized a GSP School Level Backyard Camp 2023 last February 3-4,
2023 with the Theme: “The Girls Vision: A Sustainable World for All.” in order to
realize the scouting activities’ goals and objectives.
Day 1 (February 3, 2023)
After the Girls Scout Investiture Ceremony, the scouts had given a time to prepare their
selves for the next activity which is the “Backyard Camping 2023”. At around 5:00 pm
registration for the backyard camping was started and at 6:00 pm orientation for the rules and
regulations that would be observed during the camping and room assignment was given. While
everybody was settled in their corresponding places, the scouts gave time to compose and
practice their yell for the Grand Campfire Ceremony. Before the bonfire ceremony started, the
scouts gathered for their dinner. At 8:00 pm everyone was ready. The Girl Scout was divided
according to their patrol and to introduce their patrol they present their yell after enlightening
the fire. Before the ceremony ended the patrol leaders remind the scouts about rules and
regulations that they have to follow while in the camping. At 9:00 pm the scouts went back to
their rooms to sleep and prepare their selves for the next day activities.
Day 2 (February 4, 2023)
6’oclock in the morning, the scouts were already at the gymnasium of the school for the flag
ceremony and morning exercises followed by eating their breakfast.
In the second day, the scout faces the GSP Team Building Activities. It composed of 20
teams. Each team has 10 members. There are 10 stations to get through. Before the game
start, each member of the team needs to knot their selves to their team mates. While they are
knotted to each other, they have to go to the nearest station to start the game. The first group
who finish the first station will move up to the last station. Each team will choose any of the 1-
10 stations to be their NEXT station/activity. The FIRST team to finish all the given activities
will declare the WINNER!

The activities that need to accomplish of each patrol are the following:

1st station: jump altogether 10x then recite the GSP Promise

2nd station: sing the 1st stanza of GSP hymn with one eye closed

3rd station: solve the equation 10 x 10 / 2 + 50 - 1 = ______

4th station: roll altogether and recite the GSP Law

5th station: solve the tangrams

6th station: pass the water using your feet

7th station: Finding Nemo (use flour/baking powder)

8th station: spell the word GIRL SCOUT using your LIPS
 9th station: write atleast 5 names of your Titas

10th station: make a pyramid and recite the GSP theme for 2019

At around 11’oclock in the morning the awarding of certificates for each

participants and closing ceremony was triumphantly
and blissfully done through the earnest participation and cooperation of the people
involved in the said event.
12:00 pm everybody received their pack-up lunch and ready their selves and belongings
for the preparation of going home.
The GSP School Level Backyard Camp 2023 was done successfully!
