The Indiana plastics recycling facility fire is the same kiind of facility as proposed for the Ovintiv waste

plastics" complex (formerly known as "EnCana", it changed names and relocated its headquarters to
Delaware so as to take advanatge of Infratructure funding only avaialble to U.S. compnaies. Means a
huge complex will be built a few miles downstream from Danville on the North Brach Susquehanna River,
to bring in waste plastics from NYC, Philadelphia and Baltimore-

-proposed to be that !big a complex, as well as a cracker to convert the waste plastic into pyrolysis oil,
even go so far as to propose making so-called "clean" hydrogen from waste plastic--the 10% or so which
can be recycled through this process. It is more apprporiate to use the color "black" for the hydrogen
produced from cracked plastic/oil/gas or coal. Fantastic folderol on a huge scale, to double the supply of
plastic in this world by 2032.

It is apparent Exxon-Mobil Joe Manchin apparently got bumbling Joe Bide squared away on whom will
be in charge of the U.S.'s energy economy and future. The fossil fuels industries (you have to includes
plastics iin this grouping, since the cheapest and most useful plastic feedstocks are cracked from oil coal
into petrochemicals--gotta put on the chestwaders, the BS propose to buid such folderol with
government infrastructure will "greenwash"

The waste cracker as designed will more closer rsemble the Beaver PA NatGas ethane cracker in its
operation, including the occasional black plumes vented into local and regional areas downwind and
down river,

The biggest problems-with the Ovintiv complex you hear nothing about yet are its axic d other to plastics
cracker, so the DIOXIN and otter toxics it will emit in routine operations

at a time when there's been a huge effort by the fossil fuels Bigs to commit the U.S. to a "CIRCULAR
ECONOMY" cracking waste plastics to make "clean" hydrogen and fuel oil

to push pyrolysis cracking and gasification to recycle limited kinds of plastic waste, even proclaiming
they will make "clean" hydrogen

It is far more ECONOMICAL and cost-competitive to make GREEN hydrogen using solar, wind.& sea
currents (which we dont seem to be too smart about the Gulf Stream could be lighting up the enire East
Coast. if we can only muster the will and resources to make it happen. .

The Fossil fuels industries have neormousamount of $$ locked up into coal, gas and oil resserves, so if
they cannot compete without massive subsidies

Instead of working to generate less plastic waste, companies are seeking a technical fix that will let them
keep producing—and reaping huge profits from—plastic,
