Tell me about yourself?

Firstly thank you for giving me the opportunity to be selected for an interview,

I would describe myself as friendly, organised and hard worker that is keen to learn and apply my
skills if I was successful in this role.

I stated working for the NHS since 2019 as housekeeper where I developed a passion for working
with patients, I think that providing a good customer service to patients contributes to improvements
of their wellbeing while in hospital. At the beginning of year 2022 I gained experience as receptionist
dealing with face to face patients enquiries. I moved to Portsmouth and apply for a position as MDT
coordinator, preparing, organising, circulating agendas, writing minutes, recording patient activity on
hospital software systems safely while complying with the trust policies and procedures. My job
involved frequent interaction with clinicians and patients face-to-face, and over phone and via email.
I am due graduate in July with a bachelor’s honours degree in Law. Throughout my degree I have
developed a passion for criminal law, how the criminal justice system works and data protection law,
I am planning to volunteer in the police in future. Additionally, I am taking this year in October a
masters in criminal psychology and intelligence.

Why would you like to join the ministry of justice?

I feel this a job I have administrative experience in, I possess all the skills and requirements to be a
successful case administrator, I believe in bringing a positive and friendly attitude to the department
will help to contribute to a pleasant working environment. I am passionate about criminal law, I
consider that this job will give the opportunity to work with people, to understand their concerns, to
be able to changes lives by finding the best solutions to a variety of challenging situations.

if you hire me I will always go above and beyond what is required. I will make sure to provide the
best of my knowledge, open to new opportunities and keen to learn new things.

Describe a time when you worked together with a team?

How have you contributed to the improvement of a team's overall performance in the past?

I often helped my busy outpatients colleagues when understaffed, answering phone enquiries, at the
reception desk dealing with face to face enquiries, by supporting each other and helping to cover
some areas we managed to meet our department deadlines on time.
When have you completed a difficult task as part of a team? Describe a time you were given a
responsibility you've never had before?

In the past I was asked to cover a sickness in an area I was not trained before, by applying my admin
experience, knowledge and further guidance from the manager I managed to fit around my
colleague’s role.

Describe how you have positively contributed to a team.

By supporting my colleagues as much as possible in demanding situations in the department. we


managed to meet our department deadlines on time.

Have you ever received negative feedback from a manager, employer or coworker? How did you
handle it?

I have not been in situation as such, however if I ever receive a negative feedback I would use the
feedback to improve, I believe feedback is important because it helps to demonstrates the ability to
learn constantly.

Describe a difficult situation you resolved at work.

"When I worked in housekeeping, I often encountered difficult situations with frustrated patients
about their hospital meals choices. I typically began most interactions by apologising and asking what
I could do to help, and listening to them. Based on their answer, I would apologize again and explain
their options for meals and offered a cup of tea to help soothe the situation while ordering a
replacement meal.

Have you ever had to resolve a customer complaint? If so, how did you resolve it? Or

Provide an example of a time you successfully handled conflict within the workplace.

Complaint from a patient who received the wrong correspondence from another patient. As the
patient was very upset on the phone, I apologized for the confusion and explained that due to our
high volume of renal patients, it was possible that some of our administrative staff had sent the
wrong letter. As I agreed with the patient, this is an infringement of confidentiality. I discussed it with
my manager, who introduced the rule of checking all documents and patient addresses before
sending them.
Do you prefer a lot of supervision, or self-management in your daily tasks?

Once I am familiar with the role, I am comfortable handling tasks and projects on my own. My
previous roles in customer service and admin helped me balance working independently and
collaborating with a team to ensure we completed all daily tasks each shift."

Can you describe some responsibilities of your previous position?

"In my last position, I was responsible for preparing, organising, circulating, filling patient activity and
taking minutes. This included using software systems to ensure all data information was correct for
each patient. I was also responsible for actioning emails, restocking and ordering the stationary in
the department. My attention to detail skills helped reduce record discrepancies."

What would you consider your biggest workplace achievement?

organising a charity to raise for renal transplant patients, we managed to raised most of the target
and donated it to the renal department.

Making effective decision

Have you ever had to work with someone you didn't get along with? If so, how did you make the
situation better?

At university, when I thought it would be a bit uncomfortable to work together with a student that
had the oppositive argument and opinions about project topic. However, It turned out to be a
positive experience as we both shared our different ideas, I suggested to take some of the primary
research from a certain website, she seemed to be friendly and happy about my suggestion.

What is the most challenging decision you have ever made at work? Why did you find it challenging,
and what was the outcome?
