What was the Battle of Berlin? Was


there casualties?
The Battle of Berlin was a strategic offensice
operation by the Soviet Union, it was known as
the Fall of Berlin to invade and take control of
Berlin. The Battle lasted from April 20 to May 2,
1945. In fighting for Berlin, the Soveits lost
81,116 who were reported killed/missing.

Strategy?
The 'Berlin Strategic Offensive Operation' was a Soviet
operation which had two fronts attacking from the east and
south to capture Berlin while a third front overran the
German forces in the area to the north of Berlin

were the army numbers?
The battle was primarily fought between the German Army
and the Soviet Army. The Soviet army drastically
outnumbered the Germans. The Soviets had over 2,500,000
soldiers, 7,500 aircraft, and 6,250 tanks. The Germans had

around 1,000,000 soldiers, 2,200 aircraft, and 1,500 tanks


which isn't even half of their opposing side.

Outcome of the battle


The Soviets won the battle and in the
Soviet victory they finshed off Nazi
Germany and captured the city of Berlin
defeating the Third Reich and ending
WW2 in europe
