In Brief - Raytheon to provide F-35 DAS

The Lockheed Martin-led F-35 Joint Strike Fighter industry team announced on 23 September that
it has selected Raytheon to provide a Digital Anti-jam Receiver (DAR) for the aircraft. The receiver
is a militarised global positioning system anti-jam sensor with a Selective Availability Anti-
Spoofing Module, digital anti-jam electronics and a multi-element low observable antenna.
Raytheon on the same day received an initial $25.8 million contract to develop the system.
