    Discussion
    The soil of our experiment is gap graded silty very gravelly SAND because
    the compositions of the soil are contained of Gravel: 74%, Sand: 26%, Silt: 0% and
    Clay: 0%. However, the total percentage of the sand and gravel should be 97% and
    composition of silt and clay should be 3%. The percentage that we obtained did not
    same as British Standard. The laboratory activities are to quantitatively determine
    the particle size distribution in an essentially cohesion less soil, down to the fine
    sand size. Hence the student can determine the silt and clay fraction percentage by
    difference during the experiment. From data that we obtained from the experiment,
    the graph percentage passing (%) against particle diameter(mm) was constructed.
    The graph that we obtained have difference from the graph that should we get. This
    is because there are some errors that obtained in the result.
