the body parts that appear in the video and they also learned in their previous lesson.
- Ss stand in 2 lines facing the board. T stands at the end of the line and lets the last students in
the lines see a picture. They will then whisper the word of that picture to their friends. The Ss
standing close to the board will write the word on the board. T checks their answers. In the next
turn, the writers will then go to the end of the line. There are 3-4 turns for the game.
- T has 3 cups, a mini ball and 3 flashcards. T puts 3 flashcards on the ground and put 3 cups
upside down on it. T asks Ss to close their eyes and puts a mini ball in one of the cup. Ss then
open their eyes and guess a cup that has a mini ball in it. T opens the flashcard that lay under the
cup that has a mini ball. T then elicits the 8 new words while sticking the flashcards on the
board.
- T opens the PowerPoint slide and asks concept checking questions to foster Ss’ memory of the
vocabulary items

Here is my shirt/ hat/dress/ skirt.
- T shows 4 pictures of plural clothing items and asks Ss to repeat the pattern individually: Here
are my socks/ shorts/pants/ shoes.
- T writes some singular clothing items and plural clothing items and asks Ss to pay attention to
the final “s” as a reason to use “here are…”
ACTIVITY 6 (18 MINUTES): GAME: PIRATE BARREL (see the picture below)
- T shows a picture and Ss catch a ball to keep their turns to make a sentence. Ss look at a picture
and make a sentence with here is/ here are … If they have the correct answer, their opponent
will put a mini sword in the barrel. If they have a wrong answer, the opponent will need to
provide his/her own answer. The game ends when the head of the pirate suddenly pops up.
- T shows the PPT slide and asks T to do the exercise (slide 21-28)
- T lets Ss play a game in slide 29: T invites students to roll a dice to decide how many steps
they can take (picture below).
- T lays the flashcards on the ground and asks 2 Ss to use fly swatter to tap on the flashcard
with a word that T pronounces. T then asks them to make their own sentences using “here
is/ here are…”
- T sums up the points, reminds Ss of their homework.
