FADE IN:
INT. RUNDOWN BUILDING – NIGHT
THE CAMERA focuses on Vi’s FACE, dirty and battered. Shows
off her Tattoo. CAMERA ZOOMS OUT, TABLE ON HER LEFT SIDE POV;
Shows off a BLOODIED BULLET AND KNIFE on it. OUT OF FOCUS:
Door on the background.
Footsteps noises emerge from behind the door. DOOR comes into
FOCUS; VI tilts her eyes to it. Then it opens just enough to
let a STREAK OF LIGHT to enter the room.
— ZOOM IN — The BARREL OF A RIFLE opens the DOOR to show the
silhouette of a skirted woman; BACKLIGHTNING. This is
CAITLYN, Sheriff, The Wardens, perhaps on her 30’s. Her eyes
are hidden below the brim of her top hat.
— MID SHOT — Caitlyn raises her head, showing off her
EYES/FACE. Moves to CAMERA; enters the room.
THE CAMERA adopts a LOW-ANGLE SHOT, showing off Caitlyn and
Vi in a FULL SHOT; looking at each other.
SONG BEGINS.
[Right here, right now,]
CAMERA REMAINS STATIONARY. CAITLYN approaches VI, holding her
sniper rifle with a single hand; she uses the other one to
take out a paper from her pocket.
[I put the offer out.]
Caitlyn displays a wanted poster of JINX to VI.
[I don’t wanna chase you down,]
THE CAMERA focuses on the floor, where a bundle of bandages
rolls in Vi’s direction (Implied that Caitlyn threw it).
[I know you see it.]
LOW-ANGLE SHOT, displays used BOTTLES OF GRAFFITI in the
bottom of the FRAME; CUADRANT, and a JINX GRAFFITI to the
upper-right of the FRAME; CUADRANT B. Caitlyn remains in the
middle of the frame, holding a finger up from her free hand;
OUT OF FOCUS.
[You run with me,]
THE CAMERA takes a frontal (or profile) shot of Caitlyn,
keeping the open door on the back. Caitlyn lowers her rifle.

[and I can cut you free.]

Caitlyn raises an open palm, signaling THE WARDENS at the
door to stop, to not come in.
[Out of the drudgery,
and walls you keep in.]
Caitlyn, confident of the situation, goes to the DOOR and
holds the DOOR HANDLE.
[TACK TACK TUCK]
Caitlyn takes off her hat while taking the butt of her rifle
to the floor.
[So trade your typical]
— VI POV — Vi looks at Caitlyn as she holds the door
invitingly. Caitlyn, unfocused, looks back at her.
[for something colorful]
— SAME SHOT — THE CAMERA shifts it focus to the background,
to Caitlyn, who is now looking at the open, wardenless door,
offering.
[And if it’s crazy
live a little crazy]
Vi looks at her chem-tech pulverizing gauntlets. The light
from the corridor still trickles from the UPPER-RIGHT of the
FRAME, CUADRANT B.
[You can play it sensible]
THE CAMERA zooms to Caitlyn’s face, who is putting her top
hat on her head again.
[A king of conventional]
PAN DOWN TO Caitlyn’s hand. She closes the door, then ZOOM
OUT to show the closed door.
[Or you can risk it all and see]
ZOOM OUT TO Vi, who is submerged in thought and remembrance,
takes the focus while Caitlyn keeps on BACKGROUND.
[Don’t you wanna get away]
PAN TO RIGHT of Vi’s face, showing a black background from
the MIDDLE OF THE FRAME to the RIGHT OF THE FRAME, which is
going to be used for memories; Vi’s face remains only at THE
LEFT OF THE FRAME.
— FLASHBACK — YOUNGER VI in craggy clothing on the streets of
Zaun.
[From the same old]
— FLASHBACK SHIFTS — THE CAMERA focuses on a YOUNGER VI, who
is confronting a collection of THREE other YOUNGSTERS.
[Part you gotta play.]
YOUNGER VI gets PUNCHED in the face.
[‘Cause I got what you need]
— FLASHBACK SHIFTS — CAMERA FOCUSES ON PILTOVER ON THE TOP OF
THE FRAME, while younger Vi looks at it from the UNDERCITY OF
ZAUN, BOTTOM OF THE FRAME. Hex-pneumatic elevator in the
MIDDLE, to the LEFT.
[So come with me and take the ride]
— FLASHBACK FADES AWAY — PAN BACK TO LEFT, returning Vi’s
face to its ORIGINAL position on the shot. She looks to
Caitlyn, eyes open in examination of the confusing, yet oddly
alluring scene.
[It’ll take you to the other side]
THE CAMERA looks at Vi’s LEFT FOOT then SLOWLY PANS TO THE
LEFT, showing but an empty floor.
[Cause you can do like you do]
— FLASHBACK TAKES THE SPACE OF THE EMPTY FLOOR — CAMERA shows
VI entrapped among the RUBBLE of a collapsed mine.
[Or you can do like me]
CAMERA FOCUSES DOWN to the ground as Younger Vi looks to the
chem-tech pulverizing gauntlets left on a corpse very much
familiar to her.
[Stay in the cage]
CAMERA REMAINS STATIONARY as younger Vi slouches down
[Or you can take the key]
THE CAMERA FOCUSES on younger Vi’s LEFT ARM, where she is
equipping the mechanical gauntlet.
[Oh DAMN. Suddenly you are free to fly]
CAMERA FOCUSES ON A ROCK, RUBBLE which EXPLODES outwards to
the CAMERA, to then show younger Vi standing painfully behind
it after punching it down.
[It’ll take to the other side]
The exit of the mine is shown clearly as dim, toxic green
lights pour out of it. At the same time, PAN BACK TO RIGHT,
Vi’s LEFT FOOT takes its ORIGINAL POSITION.
[Okay, my friend]
— VI POV — Vi looks at Caitlyn once again, irritated and
annoyed.
[You wanna cut me in]
Vi looks down to the floor, pretending to be overwhelmed in
ponderation. — FIRST PERSON VI POV — Vi looks down on the
floor, her legs to the sides of the FRAME.
[Well, I hate-]
CAMERA ZOOMS IN on Vi’s lowered face to highlight a confident
smirk drawing on her lips.
[To tell you]
Vi flexes her left leg to stand up, using her left arm to
help herself up.
[But it]
As Vi’s standing up, slouched down, she transforms her right
gauntlet into a fist on the low down.
[Just]
Finally standing up, she loads her fist over her head. Steam
shoots off the sides the gauntlet.
[Won’t]
Vi shoots her fist down, which is encompassed by hot, dancing
steam and dimly illuminated by internal combustion.
[Ha-]
The pulverizing gauntlet impacts the floor and shatters the
wooden planks conforming it in a small burst.
[-ppen]
The CEILING of the FIRST FLOOR EXPLODES DOWNWARDS.
[So thanks,]
Escape route secured, Vi jumps down to the FIRST FLOOR
satisfied with herself for ever again escaping the law, while
Caitlyn falls down behind her. Around her, a couple of guards
step back in surprise and shock; they didn’t expect that.
[But no]
Kneeling down from the fall, composing herself she takes her
eyes up to focus on the next step to accomplish her step,
Caitlyn; who is already recovering from the fall.
[I think I’m good to go]
The zaunite, boosted by her steaming chem-tech gauntlets
grappling the floor boards to gain momentum, THROWS herself
to the sheriff and TAKES HER by the head with thick metallic
fingers, while her other GAUNTLET is up to the WARDENS as a
warning.
[‘Cause I quite enjoy the life]
With a temporal hostage in hand, Vi begins to STEP BACK
alongside Caitlyn, whose face does not express frustration,
rather COLD AND PATIENT CALCULATION. Her grappling gauntlet
threateningly pours hot steam out, as a reminder that she
could squish Caitlyn’s head at any moment. Vi keeps the
sheriff’s head close to her.
[You say I’m trapped in]
Once backed off enough, Vi SLAMS her free pulverizer to the
closed exit, SHATTERING it almost completely and taking her
escape out. She drags Caitlyn along for the dash.
[Now, I admire you]
Once outside, Vi lets Caitlyn off by TOSSING her back in the
direction of the building. As an impromptu trophy, Vi takes
Caitlyn’s hat.
[And that whole show you do]
— OVER THE SHOULDER SHOT/VI — Vi puts to iron fingers to her
FOREHEAD and salutes forwards to a TUMBLING AND EXASPERATED
CAITLYN, mockingly. In the background, the guards look to
their sheriff, unable to shoot forwards due to her being in
the way.
[You’re on to something]
The CAMERA remains BEHIND Vi’s back as she sprints away from
the scene, then looks over her shoulder to the defeated
wardens. She raises up the hat in celebration.
[Really it’s something]
PAN TO CAITLYN, she gets out of the building to look upon the
fugitive zaunite with a slight frown, yet not mad in any
case.
[But I live among the swells]
The CAMERA looks at Vi FRONTALLY as she focuses forward. Her
smile slowly disappears from her face. — POV VI — She looks
at the hat.
[And we don’t pick up peanut shells]
— LOW-ANGLE SHOT — Caitlyn’s hat falls and rolls down the
street. Vi, who threw the hat away, keeps running.
[I’ll have to leave that up to you]
Vi LIFTS her RIGHT GAUNTLET UP as goodbyes, getting farther
away.
[Don’t you know that I’m okay]
A shot flies through the air and PIERCES Vi’s GOODBYE
GAUNTLET cleanly. As Vi takes the gauntlet down, it shoots
off hot steam and some green liquid from the opening.
[With this uptown part]
SLOWLY PANS TO CAITLYN, who is HOLDING HER RIFLE UP, looking
through the scope of the smoking gun.
[I get to play]
She slowly takes the RIFLE DOWN, revealing a premeditated
smirk on her visage.
[Cause I got what I need]
— OVER THE SHOULDER SHOT/Cait — CAMERA FOCUSES on Caitlyn who
TAKES HER HAT from the ground and FIRMLY puts it back on her
head. Vi, with a FAULTY GAUNTLET, skitters away to an
alleyway on the background, GAINS FOCUS.
[And I don’t wanna take the ride]
ON THE ALLEWAY, VI rests on the wall quickly to take a look
at her maimed tool of work, which’s fingers are moving
uncontrollably and illogically. Flashlights on the background
hurry Vi to take a look over her shoulder, only to continue
forwards. MOVES TO THE CAMERA.
[I don’t need to see the other side]
CAITLYN SLOWLY WALKS TO THE CAMERA on the main road, her
wardens RUNNING at her command. She takes her rifle up and
takes over the screen until it FADES TO BLACK.
[So go and do like you do]
TRANSITIONS TO Caitlyn who is walking through an alleyway,
looking to sides and getting apart from the unit of Wardens.
She takes a look at the GREEN LIQUID splattered on the floor.
[I’m good to do like me]
Then she realizes the existence of a sizable hole in a wall
of the alleyway, leading to the interior of another building.
[Ain’t in a cage]
TRANSITIONS TO Caitlyn exiting from another hole in a wall,
following TRAILS OF GREEN LIQUID to the bystanders outside in
the avenue.
[So I don’t need to take the key]
TRANSITIONS TO Caitlyn shouldering her way through groups of
bystanders as she tries to follow distorted leftovers from
Vi’s “injury”. Sees the trails goes off the avenue and in the
direction of a collection of emergency stairs of a building.
[Oh, DAMN!]
— POV CAITLYN — The sheriff LOOKS UP to the extent of the
tall building and STOPS AT THE ROOFTOP. Her objective.
[Can’t you see I’m doing fine?]
TRANSITIONS TO Caitlyn going up the stairs. Rifle in hands,
yet on rest. CAMERA MOVES UP to the TOP of the STAIRS.
[I don’t need to see the other side]
As the CAMERA finishes moving, CAITLYN is already on the END
OF THE STAIRS. She looks upon a rooftop modified by Vi’s
trinkets and trash, who is sitting on the floor in the
background, fixing her faulty gauntlet with a second-hand
solder.
EXT. ROOFTOP (Vi’s safe house)- NIGHT

[Now, is this really how]

— LOW ANGLE SHOT — The CAMERA FOCUSES on the CAITLYN (CA),
who is on the BACKGROUND of the shot, while it is facing VI,
unfocused, who is sitting on the floor fixing her gauntlet
(CD). Caitlyn opens her mouth and LEAVES her rifle aside,
talking, proposing.
[How you’d like to spend your days?]
VI is the one FOCUSED now. Her brows contort into a frown
having noticed the Sheriff’s presence. She puts the SOLDER
down and picks up a SCREWDRIVER, with which she begins adjust
ONE of the SCREWS that holds the TUBING together with the
contraption.
[Whisky,]
CUT TO a shot from the FLOOR. EMPTY BOTTLES of WHISKY are
leftover on the floor besides Caitlyn, far from the working
Vi on the BACKGROUND.
[Misery]
Various CIGGARETTE TAILS are discarded besides Vi’s working
area. Some spots around the floor are stained with GREEN
LIQUID.
[And parties and play]
Tossed on the nearby BED are Vi’s PANTIES and SHIRTS. From
the bed, a STICK of LIPSTICK rolls and falls down to the
floor.
[If I were mixed up with you]
VI STANDS UP, taking both of her pulverizers on her arms. She
takes a look over her shoulders, distressed by Caitlyn’s
insistence.
[I’d be the talk of the town]
Vi LOOKS DOWN as she puts on ONE of her GAUNTLETS PAINFULY
and makes sure it is functional; maybe not at its best
condition, but functional. She moves every finger to test
responsiveness.
[Disgraced and Disowned]
Vi WALKS AND LOOKS to the bright expense of the city of
Piltover. Far, yet not on the horizon, the brooding green
lights of ZAUN emerge from the RIGHT of the FRAME fleetingly.
[Another one of the clowns]
Vi LOOKS DOWN to the streets. — BIRD’S-EYE SHOT — FIVE
WARDENS are perusing the street, taking peeks in alleyways
and questioning shopkeepers and people on the streets.
[But you would finally live a little]
Caitlyn ENTERS further in on the rooftop, cold and quiet.
Acidic, GREEN LIQUID TRAILS UP to VI’s position, and
Caitlyn’s FEET follow that trail. A BLUE CRYSTAL is put down
besides Vi’s naked hand.
[Finally laugh a little]
VI first realizes the presence of the CRYSTAL, then searches
for Caitlyn’s SMIRKY FACE; she didn’t expect her to get so
close, as she was just right BEHIND HER. The sheriff’s RIFLE
was resting AWAY.
[Just let me give you]
CAITLYN SWINGS her RIGHT ARM down besides Vi, as if placing
something on the railings of the rooftop.
[The freedom to dream]
— VI POV — The CAMERA slides down from Caitlyn’s ARM to the
WANTED POSTER she had placed there besides Vi, one depicting
her and a reward of 500,000 cogs.
[And it’ll wake you up]
The POSTER is taken away by THE SHERIFF, who begins to step
away from the corner of the rooftop with the paper in hands.
Her body still to the city, Vi’s eyes follow the warden.
[And cure your aching]
VI STARTS to TURN her HEAD back in the direction of the city.
She finishes equipping her other GAUNTLET as she does so;
still, there are droplets of GREEN LIQUID tearing down from
it and FALLING into the city.
[Take your walls]
Caitlyn moves her FINGERS from the sides of the POSTER to the
TOP of it in an exaggerated, show-off manner, as if
attempting to catch Vi’s attention. VI completely turns
around to see the see what the Sheriff is up to.
[and start ‘em breaking]
Then she begins to RIP OFF the POSTER SLOWLY.
[Now that’s a deal]
Once done, she starts to SCROUNGE the paper into a BALL,
again, with many exaggerated motions. She does this, while
looking at Vi with a serious visage, she’s not joking.
[That seems worth taking]
Once the PAPER takes the form of a BALL, she holds it
forwards to Vi, showing it off. VI’s face is painted with
CALM CONSIDERATION.
[But I guess I’ll]
Caitlyn throws the PAPERBALL over her shoulder without
looking back. She tilts her head to the side as she speaks.
CAITLYN
But I guess I’ll leave that up to you.
[leave that up to you]
The CAMERA looks behind VI, Caitlyn in the BACKGROUND, before
she TURNS AROUND to SEE IT, to see Piltover. SILENCE takes
over the scene and the song pauses. Vi STOPS her movement,
lured by Caitlyn’s offer. She weighs her choices.
— SAME SHOT — TWO EXPLOSIONS are heard, and the brightness of
them strikes Vi and Caitlyn LATERALLY. In response, VI SMIRKS
then TURNS AROUND.

SONG CONTINUES

[Well, its intriguing]

— SAME SHOT — VI WALKS in Caitlyn’s direction, the sheriff
gains FOCUS. On the background, she is frowning, sort of
disappointed of Vi taking advantage of the situation.

[But to go would cost me greatly]

— SAME SHOT — Vi CONTINUES walking into the BACKGROUND. She
extends her ARMS to the sides, relaxed, knowing she’s the one
winning here. Then, a bright, sudden explosion TAKES OVER THE
SCREEN.
[So what percentage of the show.]
CUT TO VI — LATERAL SHOT — Who moves her right gauntlet to
the front, to Caitlyn, and keeps an open palm. She is smiling
and sure of herself. Another EXPLOSION ILLUMINATES Vi’s back.
[Would I be taking]
Then she rubs her thumb and index finger together. She needs
a cut out of this.
[Well, Fair enough]
ZOOM OUT to an aerial, full shot of the ROOFTOP. BULLETS fly
on the foreground. After a short pause.
[You’d want a piece of all the action]
a loose rocket shell crazes around the same air space and
ends up crashing down on the streets, it produces a LIGHT
coming diagonally from the BOTTOM LEFT of the frame.
[I’d give you seven]
LONG SHOT from besides the rooftop. Scared CIVILIANS are seen
packing and running inside of their apartments, while VI and
CAITLYN are discussing terms of agreements above them.
[We could shake and make it happen]
One of the CIVILIANS opens a window and looks down to
supposedly someone that is expecting to catch something, then
she carefully throws a briefcase bursting with clothing. She
escapes with everyone else, leaving the apartment empty. The
light of an explosion erupts from the RIGHT of the frame.
[I wasn’t born this morning]
LOW-ANGLE SHOT from the street to the building where Vi and
Caitlyn are in. WARDENS are helping civilians mobilize to
safety, some others are keeping a perimeter on the right of
the frame. Some of the wardens are setting a BARRICADE on the
middle of the street.
[Eighteen would be just fine.]
A ROCKET hits the barricade which sends multiple officers
flying away.
[Why not just go ahead]
The shot takes a 90° angle, the building where Vi and Caitlyn
are dialoguing takes a spot on the bottom of the frame with
another, longer building occupying the top. A blurred,
unrecognizable Jinx passes over the foreground quickly.
[And ask for nickels on the dime]
A SHADOW of Jinx riding a rocket is cast off the brilliance
of a distant explosion and it travels horizontally along the
length of the building on the top of the frame. A very
diminutive VI can be seen pointing a metallic finger to it
for Caitlyn.
[Fifthteen,]
ZOOM to VI and CAITLYN, who are still discussing amongst
screams and smoke. The frame still maintains a 90° angle,
keeping the ledge of the rooftop on the BOTTOM of the frame.
Vi extends her arms as she takes a step forth.
[I’d do eight]
The CAMERA looks through the Window of the neighboring
building to CAITLYN, yet it doesn’t show Vi. The sheriff
raises up a finger and tilts her head to the side.
[Twelve]
UPSIDE-DOWN SHOT, the rooftop is inverted on the top of the
frame. VI crosses her arms and points forwards with her nose.
[Maybe Nine]
A barrage of ROCKETS zig-zag through the air in the BOTTOM of
the frame, just above Vi and Caitlyn.

[Ten]
CUT TO CAITLYN, who is showing off a WARDEN BADGE to VI. The
music pauses as Vi is stunned by Caitlyn’s proposition of
giving her a spot in the Wardens. The sheriff leaves the
badge on the floor and goes to pick up her rifle, letting Vi
decide for herself. She peppers up the sniper and pulls the
lever of the bullet chamber. After finishing her
preparations, she turns around only to see VI right in front
of her, holding the badge up.

[Sir, it looks like you have yourself a junior partner]

VI makes an ironic smirk and closes down her hands into
punches. The gauntlet which was faulty before this time had
attached the crystal offered to her, and it shines brightly
as it powers the weapon.
[What I have is an overcompensated apprentice]
CAITLYN allows herself a humorous smile and loads a cartridge
into her rifle. She turns around and throws a hand up
sarcastically as she begins to leave the rooftop.
