    PHYSICAL PERSPECTIVE

    DISASTER PLAN

    Prepare
    Preparing for a physical disaster is the
    first step in preventing its effects. Make
    sure to create an emergency plan, stock
    up on supplies, and practice safety drills.

    Monitor
    Monitor the environment for signs
    of a potential disaster. Pay
    attention to weather forecasts,
    seismic activity, and other potential
    indicators.
    Respond
    If a disaster is imminent, respond
    quickly and appropriately. Follow
    the emergency plan, evacuate if
    necessary, and take shelter if
    possible.

    Recover
    After the disaster has passed, take
    steps to recover. This may include
    seeking medical attention, filing
    insurance claims, and seeking
    assistance from local and federal
    agencies.
    Prepare Again
    Once the recovery process is
    complete, it is important to prepare
    again. Make sure to update the
    emergency plan, restock supplies, and
    practice safety drills.
