Data we need:
• List of most active posts – Instance – Local
• List of most active comments – Instance – Local
• List of top 6 communities:
◦ ranked in terms of users/month
◦ have at least 20 English language posts
◦ screenshot below shows
▪ number of users/month for each community
▪ number of posts per community
• List of most active Posts from each of the Top 6 Communities as defined above. Due to cross
posting a link can appear in more then one community – we want to eliminate these duplicates
from the lower ranking community.
• List of the 10 most popular domains linked to in the posts shown in this Snapshot (excluding
Most Popular Video Section)
• List of 6 most Active Posts that are a link to a video on e.g.
◦ youtube
◦ rumble
◦ Lbry
◦ Odysee
◦ etc
Only include posts and comments written in the primary language of the instance. In the case of
Exploding-Heads.com that is English
The layout, look and feel of the page should look something like https://bonginoreport.com/index
I did not include a reason for new posts. I wanted to but I was worried about spam/inappropriate posts
appearing. I figured by using most active posts and limiting it to communities with more active users
with at least 20 posts, the organic functioning of Lemmy would reduce the risk. A user would have
flagged it for the admin, down voted etc. Other posts would have received more activity. I want this
snapshot to show the best of Lemmy, not the worst.
I did not include a featured or showcased community. Again I would have liked to, but I could not see a
setting that would drive it. If there is a way we could do this, maybe adding a setting to the instance
setting page – it would be much appreciated.
