Fragmented Fairy Tale (Story Map)

Part l
 Title: Hansel and Gretel
 Characters:
-Hansel (brother)
-Gretel (sister)
-Father
-Stepmother
-The witch
 Setting: In a very dense forest.
 Topic: Persevere in the face of adversity.
 Conflict: Man vs Man. Hansel and Gretel are abandoned in the forest by their own father
and stepmother, due to the shortage of food at home. Soon after, he discovers a candy
house built by a wicked witch, who kidnaps them.
 Plot
-Beginning: Hansel and Gretel stepmother takes them into the woods and leaves them, so
they don’t starve at home.
-Middle: Hansel and Gretel find the candy house and are kidnapped by the witch, who
locks them in a cage to fatten them up before eating them.
-Ending: Gretel deceives the witch and manages to push her into the oven where she
intended to put them alive. The children return home with precious stones collected in the
witch’s house, and upon arriving home, discover that their stepmother had died, leaving
the father remorseful and seeking forgiveness.

Part ll
 Element to change: Instead of an evil witch, Hansel and Gretel are greeted in the candy
house by a friendly pixie.

Part lll
Hansel Gretel, And the Pixie

Hansel and Gretel were two very clever and mischievous children. They lived
in a small house with their father and stepmother, who treated them very harshly and did not give
them the love and attention they needed. One day, due to the lack of food in the house, the father
or Hansel and Gretel decided to take the children to a very dense forest and leave them there,
since he could not allow theme to starve at home. Hansel realized the plan and decided to leave a
trail of pebbles to find his way back home. Finally, they arrived at a candy and gingerbread
house and were greeted by a friendly pixie. He offered them his hospitality and shared all his
food with them. However, they soon found out that the stepmother had come looking for them
and that she was planning to steal all their food and drive the goblin away from the little house.
To protect the goblin and preserve the happiness they had fount in the little house, Hansel and
Gretel devised a plan to drive the stepmother away. They decided to build a trap with the stones
that Hansel had collected in the little house. The stepmother fell into the trap and injured her leg.
Then Hansel and Gretel explained everything to their father, who apologized and promised never
to leave them again. Finally, they happily returned to de pixie’s house, who received them with a
delicious dinner. Since then, Hansel and Gretel frequently visit the pixie.
