A PREPARE In pairs, imagine you are experts who give advice to companies on how to make the
career section of their website as attractive as possible to first-time employees. Choose a type of
company from the pictures above or use your own idea.

B DISCUSS In pairs, brainstorm answers to this question: What do most first-time employees think
about when choosing a company to work for? For example:
career progression kinds of jobs available products the company makes
training opportunities workplace environment

C Compare your ideas with other pairs. Which areas do people think are most important?

D DECIDE In your original pairs, consider all the ideas you have. Decide which three areas are the
most important to first-time employees of the company you chose in part A. Then decide how to
present these areas on the company website in order to attract these employees. Use some of these
options and your own ideas: photos, videos, interviews, reviews.

E PRESENT Tell the class what type of company you chose, present your ideas, and explain why first-
time employees will like them.

F AGREE After the presentations, decide as a class which ideas will be most attractive to first-time
employees. Then discuss which company you would like to work for.
