All animal feed that is imported for sale in the national territory must have an ICA registration
in accordance with the requirements established in Resolution 061252 of February 3, 2020.
The following are subject to registration:

The registration will be made based on a single format of basic information of the
manufacturer or importer through the SimplifICA 1.0 platform (Food for animals). Any
natural or legal person that sells animal feed must register it with the ICA after meeting
the following requirements:

Guaranteed composition: The guaranteed composition of animal feed must be declared
using the international system of units, and must include the declaration of nutrients.
According to the type of product, the minimum or maximum values of the following

Minimum fat content, expressed as a percentage by weight. •
Maximum fiber content, expressed as a percentage by weight. •
Maximum ash content, expressed as a percentage by weight. • Maximum
moisture content, expressed as a percentage by weight. • Maximum
content of the Protein Equivalent of Non-Protein Nitrogen
(NNP).
