Reflection

Now that you have known that there are indeed possible ways to eliminate problems that
might occur when we relate with people of other nationalities, you can now claim that you can
become an effective global communicator. Respecting other people, being mindful of the
communication principles would surely help you to become an effective global communicator.
After all, you and all the rest of the people live in this global community.

From the words and expressions that you have learned, do you think that those politically
correct words/terms solve problems like racism, inequality, and the like? Why? Or why not?
- Absolutely, being politically correct has a benefit when communicating
internationally. Politically correct people may avoid using phrases or terms that are
offensive to the community. It is one approach we can take to address issues like
inequality, racism, and prejudice. People who have this problem could feel more a
part of their community by using those terms. It encourages people to refrain from
upsetting someone they perceive to have a negative personality. It is advantageous for
everyone because, if we communicate worldwide, we can avoid changing or avoiding
terminology that we are aware they do not accept. Political correctness, in my
opinion, is also a solution to some problems since it allows us to establish a safe
environment in which negativity cannot flourish. Since politically correct is an anti-
discrimination word or term that we may use to have a more comfortable discourse, it
also helps us develop excellent communication skills. It actually offers a solution to
problems like racism since it establishes a baseline for sensitivity in all
communications. While we can employ politically correct in some situations, it
shouldn't always be the answer to problems; instead, we should work to find other
solutions. But generally speaking, in my view, this can be a fix for that issue. We also
have a mental state, and from what I've seen, one of the challenges that many of us
are dealing with is mental illness. And if we are politically correct, it goes without
saying that we can improve others' mental health. Additionally, we can foster more
fruitful and safe interactions with others.
