Manage and configure phasing

Configure phase settings, which includes


phases, phase filters, and graphic overrides. See
how to set the phase of a view and control the
phase status of model elements.

1. Open the exercise file phasing.rvt.

2. Select the first wall in the project and
change the Phasing parameters as
follows to change the phase status to
Existing.

6. Observe how the wall graphics have
updated in the 3D view.

7. Review the Phasing parameters of the


3D view and make adjustments to the
Phase and Phase Filter to see how it
affects the view.

8. When working with linked Revit
models, the phases can be mapped.
Select a linked model and then click
Edit Type in the Properties palette. In
the Type Properties dialog, click Edit
next to Phase Mapping. Then map the
phases in the linked model to the
phases in the host model.
