Hypothesis

This is the null hypothesis of the study.

1. There are no significant differences in the sustainability practices of coffee


growers when grouped according to:
a) Age;
b) Marital Status;
c) Sex;
d) Job Position;5
e) Length in the Industry

Data Gathering Procedure

The data-gathering procedure for this study was subdivided (The first part will

contain questions regarding the coffee growers’ demographic information and the second

part will be focusing on the sustainability practices that coffee growers currently use in

their daily operations, attitude towards sustainability, and factors affecting the

sustainability of their products)

Firstly, the researchers will request a permission towards the school authorities to

conduct the study of sustainability practices among coffee growers.

After the approval of the permit, the agreement between the target participants

and researchers will be considered. The researchers will select coffee growers in

accordance with their availability and willingness to participate in the study.

Included in the survey questionnaire is the questions determining and identifying

the sustainability practices and other possible practices that are being disregarded that can

be used by coffee growers such as their experiences and opinions.
