Dear TRS Royals,

Congratulations! We are excited to inform you that your team has been selected as a

finalist for the Ghana Science & Tech Explorer Prize (GSTEP) Challenge. We are

impressed with your idea and would love to see you implement it. The programme kicks

off with an online pre-induction session that you will be required to attend. More details on
this event will be shared with you soon. 

Here are a few things to note:

1. The next phase of the GSTEP Challenge will run for seven months. An induction event
will be held in July to introduce you to the Challenge. You will then go through the Finalist

Support Stage which will run from July to October 2023 during which you will be supported

to move your idea from paper into a prototype. Between November and December you will

pitch your idea to a panel of judges. If you complete the Challenge, you will present your

prototype to the general public at an exhibition in Accra after which the winners of the

Challenge will be announced at a prestigious Awards Ceremony.

2. Your team will be required to participate in a series of in-person events and activities

that will provide your students with knowledge and skills in STEM. They will also be

taught relevant soft skills such as communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and

presentation skills that will enable them excel within and outside the classroom. You are

strongly encouraged to participate in all events.
