Detailed lesson plan in

Integrated science grade 7
Prepared by: Philip Atma

I. Objective: at the end of the lesson, the students will be able to;

a. Differentiate the input work and output work.

b. Describe the vectoring thrust of input and output work.
c. Draw the direction force of input and output work using the arrow direction.

II. Subject matter:

a. Topic: output and input work
b. References: textbook for grade 7” integrated science”………. p-306-307
c. Materials: Chalk, black board, illustration board in drawing, paint can, flat
screw driver.

III. Procedure:
Teacher’s activity Learner ‘s activity
A. Preliminary Activity
-checking of attendances
-arranging of the proper sit

B. Review
Last meeting we discussed about simple
Yes, sir.
machine right?

We learned that there are 6 types of

simple machine.

Judy, can you enumerate the 6 type of Sir, we have lever, incline, wood and screw,
simple machine? wheel and axle.

Yes! That correct.

We also learned that simple machine

was invented in order to lessen the
effort outputs.

C. Motivation
Class watch carefully, I have here a
simple show about simple machine, try
to observe the vector of my hand
forces.

(Present the show)

No sir.
Class, did I open the paint cane with my
bare hand?
Sir the flat metal or flat screw.
What did I use?
Yes, that is correct.

D. Lesson proper
Today we are going to learn the other
principle of work, where in we are going
to see the differences exerted power in
use of simple machine

Since simple is done with two types of

effort, we have that input and output
work effort. Sir, input work is done during the work using
the simple machine, example when digging a
Jenny can you differentiate the input ground hole, and output work is doubled
and output work? force done by simple machine.

Sir, force is also known as newton.

Yes, that correct.

Once again, Mary what is force?

Correct!

Class look at the two illustrations on the

on board.

Input work

a)

Output work

b)

Sir, letter A is input and output is letter B.

Base from the illustration using the
screw driver in opening the paint cane,
what is the input output work?

None sir.
Yes, that is correct.
So is there any question?

E. Generalization
We can now differentiate the input and
output by means of newton force and
its vectoring trust. Sir, input is downward and output is upward.

Elena, can you describe the direction of None sir.

input and output work?

Class, do you have any question?

The students do the ff.
IV. Evaluation
Input is force using the simple machine to do

machine to lessen the effort.
input
1. What are the differences of input
and outputdirection in newton’s
law?

2. Draw at least oneillustration in any

of simple machine and put an arrow
to show an input and output work.

upward

V. Assignment
In your notebook, differentiate the
mechanical energy and mechanical
efficiency to be check next meeting.

Thank you and good bye sir………..

That all and have a nice day, good

bye class
