MAP KIOSK WITH CHARGER PORT
A touch screen KIOSKs is a physical (hardware and software) addition to a business
or an organization that invites human interaction. KIOSKs can be in various shapes and
sizes. They can assist in providing, services, information, or self-service.

Charging port means any charging connector that is able to charge an electric

vehicle, regardless of plug type or standard. For purposes of license fee calculation,
for Charging Stations with more than a single Charging Port, the Charging Port is only
counted if it is able to charge an electric vehicle concurrently with another Charging Port on
the same Charging Station.

Objectives

 A kiosk with charger port that will provide locations of facilities including room and
faculty department and building for students, visitors and guests.
 A USB charger port for the students to charge their devices easily and quickly.
 To provide the information on the students about their room schedules and section
schedules.
 Help students familiarized the administration, faculty and staff as well as the offices,

departments, external campuses.

Problem

 Lack of vicinity map on campus.

 Lack of orientation of school building and department on the students.
 Absence of front desk/receptionist.

Design concept

 Materials that will use on this product are steel and anodized aluminum.
 Six (6) USB charger portable.
 Touch screen monitor
 Outdoor Kiosk will be placed on the center of TUP grounds
Key benefits of outdoor kiosk with charger port

 Reliability, and the need for KIOSKs to run for long periods of time.
 Fixing problems when no on-site service staff is available.
 Fixing problem if the student devices are out of charge.

Methodology

Online database searches were the first step in conducting background study on
already-existing kiosk projects. The search was restricted to Philippines and outside country-
based kiosk systems that provide information on travel, traffic, transit routes, and itineraries
and campus map. A few databases included a more complete list of kiosk projects, including
proposed and abandoned projects, whereas many databases offered a combination of well-
known kiosk initiatives. The databases that were looked up are listed below.

1. Central Philippine University smart touch information kiosk with campus

navigation.
The proponents of Central Philippine University Smart Touch Information Kiosk with
Campus Navigation desired to enhance the enrolled college students at Central Philippine
University to have fast and reliable access to important information.
2. Philippine Normal University: interactive kiosk.
The proponents’ proposed system was an Information Kiosk developed for the Philippine
Normal University is a type of information kiosk which mainly focuses on providing a digital
map of the University (or the insides of an establishment if it was for a company) and giving
detailed information in regards with the background of the University and its buildings. A
digital map of the University is present within the kiosk and can be used to search for the
shortest possible path in finding the user’s desired location. The developed Information
Kiosk not only provides the shortest path to the user but it also shows the academic calendar
of the University and its upcoming events.

3. High-information dissemination system using touch screen device for Laguna

State Polytechnic University — San Pablo city campus.
This study focuses on the creation of a high information dissemination system employing
a touch screen device that will serve as a 24-hour information resource for Laguna State
Polytechnic University's San Pablo City Campus. In order to comprehend the system now in
use and to identify problems with processes, transactions, finding buildings and offices, and
other services, assessments were done. A novel high-information dissemination system is
created by linking the concepts learned from the assessment that was completed and by
utilizing the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Via the system, significant and
trending data are produced, ensuring promptness, politeness, and high information quality.
The kiosk can therefore give the organization a new, more effective method of sharing
information.

4. Developing KIOSKs-Touch Based Interactive Information System

This paper aims to provide a detailed account of the research and development efforts
put in the design and development of a complete and comprehensive touch based
interactive information systems KIOSKs. This will make all the Information and Feedback
sections accessible to the audience whether they are using laptops, PCs, mobile, tablet, or
personal digital assistants.

5. Kiosks for storing, charging and exchanging batteries usable in electric

vehicles and servers and applications for locating kiosks and accessing
batteries.
Applications for interacting with a service that gives access to battery kiosks, methods
and systems for locating charged batteries, booking batteries, and paying for battery use are
disclosed. Electric automobiles that employ replaceable and exchangeable batteries are also
revealed. A system for controlling access to and exchange of batteries for use by electric
vehicles is one illustration. The batteries that power the electric motors of the vehicles can
be inserted into slots on the electric vehicles. The system consists of a kiosk with multiple
receptacle slots for holding multiple batteries, at least one of which is accessible to allow
removal of a battery from the kiosk. Each slot for a receptacle includes a connector that
attaches to power source.

Having thoroughly examined the literature gathered, it was reviewed for the kiosk
projects that disseminated similar information as the planned Map Kiosk with Charger Port . It
provides a great deal of information, including additional contacts, and this information is
summarized in this report.

Scope and limitation

Using maps and information kiosks, the product system focuses on making information
easily accessible. It makes it possible to look up vital information on faculty members
connected to the college, the way to a specific department or building, offices, and other
locations, as well as external campuses, and other helpful details that can help students and
visitors get a feel for the institution. . To help as well the students or the users if their smart
devices are out of battery.
