    Arrest Made in Monday Homicide Investigation | 100 block South Pine Street

    June 6, 2023

    On Monday, June 5, 2023, at approximately 1:16am, Davenport Police responded to the


    area of 100 S. Pine Street in reference to a call of shots fired. One adult male was
    transported by Medic EMS to a local hospital. The victim, John K. Gilmartin, age 24,
    died from injuries sustained in the shooting.

    Christian L. Jessee, age 22, has been arrested and charged with the following:

    Murder 1st Degree


    Assault while Participating in a Felony – Serious Injury
    Dominion/Control of Firearm/Offensive Weapon by a Felon
    Criminal Gang Participation
