If you were given a chance to study in a prestigious university abroad, in what country do you prefer and
what degree will you take? Explain and Justify your choice (300 words)
I decided on the University of Toronto, which is located in northern North America or Canada. The
reason for my decision was the university's positive reviews. Toronto University is one of the top 20
greatest universities in the world, and it is only a few miles from my grandmother's house.
Be aware that the university I choose also provides scholarships. Every year, UofT awards approximately
4,400 undergraduate admissions scholarships! 2 major entry scholarships are available.
The President's Scholars of Excellence Program is the first. 150 students will receive a $10,000 admission
scholarship to use throughout their first year of study as well as additional benefits including
employment and chances for overseas study.
The University of Toronto Scholars Program is also available. This results in a $7,500 award for 700
students. High levels of community activity may possibly qualify you for the National Scholarship. This
grants ten students a full-ride scholarship that pays all of their tuition, extra fees, and housing costs for
up to four years.
What degree will I choose in this university? I take up a bachelor of science in architecture, which I chose
due to the high salary it would lead to anywhere in the nation. All 11 of Canada's provinces and
territories have a high demand for architects, and as a highly trained worker, you may anticipate earning
between $59000 and $92400 annually. Technically speaking, it already works in my favor and will ease
the burden I soon face. It also broadens my range of opportunities. Because of the economic prospects
it provides, many Filipinos choose to live in Canada. Like me a filipino student.
Canada has a thriving economy, a highly developed healthcare system, and an internationally renowned
educational system. It is safe and politically stable. Canada is also very affordable. Living expenses and
college fees are reasonably low. In fact, you only need about PHP 800,000 per year to live as a student in
Canada, which is substantially less expensive than attending school in the majority of other first-world
nations.
" According to a recent report, Canada is one of the safest countries in the world. In 2021, Canada
ranked as the 4th safest country in the world by U.S. News. Canada's high position on the index sits
alongside Switzerland, Denmark, and Norway.
