Camden International Film Festival

CIFF’s Virtual Festival will run from September 18-25.
Audiences can enjoy selections from our slate of new and
future award-winning films from the comfort of their own
home–or screen–well before anyone else. Virtual screenings
will be available to viewers in the United States only. Virtual
Passes include access to a live recording of the Points North
Pitch, an audience favorite!
The Camden International Film Festival has long taken place
over the second weekend following Labor Day. Unfortunately,
this year it coincides partially with Rosh HaShanah. To make
sure that festival participants and attendees who are
celebrating the holidays are still able to experience as much of
CIFF as possible, we will be making the Points North Pitch
available in our Virtual Festival. We are also actively
coordinating with the Adas Yoshuron Synagogue in Rockland
to support any visitors who might be looking to join in with in-
person celebrations.

● Festival will take place from the 14-17 of september
Project Concept

This will be a documentary about censorship in literature. It

will contain 2 interviews and I will be presenting it.

I am hoping it will be between 5-10 mins long and that my

presenting will take up half of that and the interviews the other
half.

I will be making a few jokes to keep the mood light hearted as I

don’t want this to be a depressing documentary, I will also be
putting a few clips in that might be considered funny.

Rules and Regulations

The Camden International Film Festival is open to all

documentary films of all styles, subjects and lengths. We also
encourage submissions that push the boundaries of the form.

Works-in-progress are accepted at all deadlines and will be

considered for screening at the Camden International Film
Festival. The festival is open for discussion on this topic. If you
have questions, please contact us.
The filmmaker agrees to be responsible for all shipping and
insurance costs for shipping submission materials to the
festival office. The submission will not be returned to the
entrants unless a stamped, self-addressed envelope is included
for return.

Films and videos are submitted complete with English

commentary and/or English dialogue or in the original version
with English subtitles.

All submitting filmmakers and distributors will be notified of

the official selections prior to the festival.

The festival has the right to use the publicity material (press
books, posters, stills etc.) from selected films to promote the
festival.

Target Audience

I have chosen to put my target audience to 16-24.

I have chosen 16 for the low end because I have some explicit
parts that I would like to include in my production but they
aren't too graphic so I don't believe it needs to be 18.

I have also chosen 24 for the top end because some of the
humor I have used may seem juvenile to anyone older.
