Option 9: Write an alternative ending for the novel

like. There different styles of diary entry. THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE.

Option 12: Turn a chapter into a script

 Choose a chapter from the book.
 You will write a script (which is like a dialogue/ screenplay script that actors use.)
 Things to remember when writing a script:
1. Start a new line whenever the next character speaks.
2. You structure it as: [ character’s name + “:” + their speech]
3. You don’t have to use quotation marks “”, just write the character’s name with a colon
afterwards:

Example: This is a quote from the book and on the right shows how it has been turned into an script:
Maria: Your father is very serious too.

Bruno: Yes, but he is Father. Fathers are supposed to be

serious . it doesn’t matter whether they are greengrocers or
teachers or chefs or commandants

Narrator: Bruno listing all the jobs that were decent,

respectable fathers did and whose titles he had thought
about a thousand times.

Bruno: And I don’t think that man looked like a father.

Although, he was very serious for sure.

4. Most of the time, you have to watch out that the NARRATOR SPEAKS in between the
characters dialogues. (This can be seen whether there is extra description of
feelings/ideas/scenes or if something has to be explained or clarified.)  Look at the
example above.

Option 13: Create a story board for one chapter with pictures
 Choose a chapter and create a storyboard that shows a visual picture of that chapter.
 If you choose this option, you can draw the storyboard on a paper and add a picture in the
word document. Or you can make a digital storyboard and attach it to the document.
 The storyboard must include a drawing + a text/caption of what the picture is about.
